Renault Valladolid Factory
The Renault Valladolid Factory is a car plant at Valladolid, Castille and Leon, in north-western Spain owned by Renault España. It has evolved into a grouping of several plants clustered together on a 150-hectare site. History In response to Spanish government limits on imports of completed cars, Renault established in 1951 the Spanish FASA ''(Fabricacion de Automoviles SA)'' company which built a plant at Valladolid for the assembly of Renault 4CV cars using components imported from France. In 1953, the first year of production, 707 cars emerged from the plant. By 1958, annual output had risen to 7,547 units. The company first produced complete engines in Spain in 1961: by this time the principal model produced at Valladolid was the Dauphine. Valladolid () is a Municipalities of Spain, municipality in Spain and the primary seat of government and de facto capital of the Autonomous communities of Spain, autonomous community of Castile and León. The Renault Twizy is a two-seat electric microcar designed and marketed by Renault. It is classified in Europe as either a light or heavy quadricycle depending on the output power, which is either for the 45 model or for the 80 model, both names reflecting its top speed in km/h. Originally manufactured in Valladolid, Spain, production was moved to Busan in South Korea in March 2019 to meet increased demand in Asia. The Renault Captur (pronounced as "capture") is a series of subcompact crossover SUVs manufactured by the French automaker Renault. The production version of the first one, based on the B platform, made its debut at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show and started to be marketed in France during April 2013.
