Amateur career

As an amateur Nilsson won the Swedish Junior Strokeplay Championship in 2008, and finished 3rd at the Swedish Junior Matchplay Championship in 2011. She was runner-up at the Spanish International Ladies Amateur Championship in 2010, and 3rd in 2012. She also finished 3rd at the 2011 British Girls Open and 4th at the 2012
