Pilsen Golf Challenge
The Czech Ladies Challenge is a women's professional golf tournament on the LET Access Series, held in the Czech Republic. The event was first played in 2014 at Golf Park Plzeň-Dýšina in the city of Plzeň, 90 km west of Prague, also host to the LET's Sberbank Golf Masters, before moving closer to Prague. It has been the only Czech event on the LET Access Series schedule except in 2019 when the Czech Ladies Open was played as a dual-ranking event with the Ladies European Tour. Sára Kousková
Sára Kousková (born 2 July 1999) is a Czech professional golfer and Ladies European Tour player. In 2021 she won the Amundi Czech Ladies Challenge to become the first Czech amateur to win a professional event. In October 2022 she continued creating Czech golf history with first ever Czech female win of the LET Access Series Order of Merit. Early life and amateur career Kousková was born in Prague and began playing golf when she was five years old. At six, she won her first tournament at a pitch and putt course. She became a member of the Czech National Team in 2013, and became the top-ranked U18 golfer in the Czech Republic. Carmen Alonso (born 15 July 1984) is a Spanish professional golfer and member of the Ladies European Tour (LET). Amateur career Alonso played on the national team and in 2000 won the European Young Masters both individually and with Spain, as Rafa Cabrera-Bello won the boys' category. She won gold at the 2001 Mediterranean Games and finished 5th at the 2000 Espirito Santo Trophy together with Tania Elósegui and Marta Prieto. 2018 LET Access Series
The 2018 LET Access Series was a series of professional women's golf tournaments held from April through November 2018 across Europe. The LET Access Series is the second-tier women's professional golf tour in Europe and is the official developmental tour of the Ladies European Tour. The Jabra Ladies Open, held at the Evian Resort Golf Club in France and since 2014 the European qualifying competition for the Evian Championship, became the tour's first dual-ranking event with the LET. Julia Anna Margareta Engström (born 27 March 2001) is a Swedish professional golfer. A golf prodigy, she became the youngest winner of the British Ladies Amateur, at age 15. She won twice on the Ladies European Tour as a teenager, and was the 2018 LET Rookie of the Year. At 21, she retired due to spinal injuries. Sanna Nuutinen (born 8 April 1991) is a Finnish professional golfer playing on the Ladies European Tour (LET) and LPGA Tour. In 2019, she was runner-up at the Tipsports Czech Ladies Open and in 2020, she finished 5th on the LET Order of Merit. Amateur career Nuutinen represented Finland at the 2007 and 2008 European Girls' Team Championship before capturing the bronze in the 2009 edition. She also played in the 2010 and 2011 European Ladies' Team Championship before securing the bronze in 2013 and the silver in 2014 as team captain. Cara Gainer (born 20 August 1995) is an English professional golfer who plays on the Ladies European Tour. She was runner-up at the 2022 Belgian Ladies Open. Early life and amateur career Gainer hails from Oxford and started playing golf relatively late, when she was 14-years-old, and became a scratch golfer at 17. Throughout that time she was a member at Frilford Heath Golf Club, along with Eddie Pepperell. Tiia Koivisto
Tiia Koivisto (born 6 February 1994) is a Finnish professional golfer who plays on the Ladies European Tour (LET). She won the 2022 Jabra Ladies Open. In 2020, she topped the LETAS Order of Merit after winning the Czech Ladies Challenge. Career Koivisto was born in Mäntsälä in the greater Helsinki area and grew up next to the Hirvihaaran Golf Course. She only took up golf at the age of 15 after playing soccer for most of her childhood, first for the boys' team as a defender and then later in the women's as a striker.
