LET Access Series
The LET Access Series (LETAS) is a professional golf tour for women and the official development tour to the Ladies European Tour. Launched in 2010, the LET Access Series provides players with an opportunity to compete and progress on to the LET. Eligible for membership are all female professional golfers and amateurs over 18 with a handicap of 2 or better. Women's World Golf Rankings As one of the eight major women's tours (along with LPGA, JLPGA, KLPGA, LET, ALPG, Symetra Tour and China LPGA Tour) performances on LETAS carry Women's World Golf Rankings points. Seasons and results Past tour schedules By 2014 over 250 professionals and 200 amateurs competed. The season consisted of 16 tournaments in 12 countries with prize funds of €30,000 – €50,000, and saw 11 winners from 8 countries. Cara Gainer
Cara Gainer (born 20 August 1995) is an English professional golfer who plays on the Ladies European Tour. She was runner-up at the 2022 Belgian Ladies Open. Early life and amateur career Gainer hails from Oxford and started playing golf relatively late, when she was 14-years-old, and became a scratch golfer at 17. Throughout that time she was a member at Frilford Heath Golf Club, along with Eddie Pepperell. She was part of the Castle Royle High Performance Academy and was Castle Royle Ladies Champion in 2015, 2016, and 2017, and was Ladies' Amateur Champion of Oxfordshire County in 2016. Gainer won the 2017 English Women's Open Match Play Championship at Royal Mid-Surrey Golf Club, and was in the England squad her final year as an amateur, competing internationally. Tiia Koivisto
Tiia Koivisto (born 6 February 1994) is a Finnish professional golfer who plays on the Ladies European Tour (LET). She won the 2022 Jabra Ladies Open. In 2020, she topped the LETAS Order of Merit after winning the Czech Ladies Challenge. Career Koivisto was born in Mäntsälä in the greater Helsinki area and grew up next to the Hirvihaaran Golf Course. She only took up golf at the age of 15 after playing soccer for most of her childhood, first for the boys' team as a defender and then later in the women's as a striker. In 2016, she won the Finnish Match Play and finished third in the Finnish Stroke Play Championship. Koivisto turned professional in late 2016 after attending LET Q-School, and started playing on the LET Access Series in 2017. Lily May Humphreys
Lily May Humphreys (born 14 March 2002) is an English professional golfer and Ladies European Tour player. She won the 2017 Girls Amateur Championship and the 2023 Joburg Ladies Open. Amateur career Humphreys had a successful amateur career. She won the Fairhaven Trophy in 2016 and the Girls Amateur Championship, English Women's Amateur Championship, and the Junior Orange Bowl International in 2017. In 2018 she won the Helen Holm Scottish Women's Open Championship and in 2019 she won the Irish Women's Open Stroke Play Championship and the Welsh Ladies Open Stroke Play Championship back to back. Qualifying School
In professional golf, the term qualifying school is used for the annual qualifying tournaments for leading golf tours such as the U.S.-based PGA and LPGA Tours and the European Tour. A fixed number of players in the event win membership of the tour for the following season, otherwise known as a "tour card", meaning that they can play in most of the tour's events without having to qualify. They join the leaders on the previous year's money list/order of merit and certain other exempt players as members of the tour. Getting through the qualifying school of an elite tour is very competitive and most professional golfers never achieve it. There can be up to four stages to negotiate, each of them like a regular golf tournament with only a small number of players going on to the next stage.
