Linnea Ström
Linnea Ström (born 14 October 1996) is a Swedish professional golfer. She joined the U.S.-based LPGA Tour after graduating from the Symetra Tour as 2018 Rookie of the Year. Amateur career Ström became a member of the Swedish National Golf Team at age 13 and was part of the Swedish team winning the European Girls' Team Championship in 2012 and again in 2013. She was a member of the 2013 Junior Solheim Cup Team and the 2012 and 2014 European Junior Ryder Cup Team. Ström and Marcus Kinhult, won gold in the mixed category at the 2014 Youth Olympic Games. She also won the 2014 Spanish International Ladies Amateur Championship, where she was runner-up the year after, as well as at the 2015 British Ladies Amateur Golf Championship. The Spanish International Ladies Amateur Championship (Copa S.M. la Reina) is an annual amateur golf tournament in Spain for women. It is an "A" rated tournament in the World Amateur Golf Ranking and a qualifying event for the European teams in the Junior Ryder Cup and Junior Solheim Cup. Espirito Santo Trophy
The Espirito Santo Trophy (World Women's Amateur Team Championships) is a biennial world amateur team golf championship for women organised by the International Golf Federation. The inaugural event was held in 1964. It was instituted by the French Golf Federation in an agreement with the United States Golf Association. It was planned by Lally Segard, at the time known as Vicomtesse de Saint Sauveur, from France and Mrs. Henri Prunaret from America. Segard also asked her friends Ricardo and Silvia Espirito Santo, from Portugal, to donate a trophy for the event, which they did. They had originally bought the golden cup, which had belonged to Tsar Nicholas II of Russia, for an international Portuguese event that was not played anymore. 2016 Espirito Santo Trophy
The 2016 Espirito Santo Trophy took place 14–17 September at Mayakoba El Camaleon Golf Club and Iberostar Playa Paraiso Golf Club in Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo, Mexico. It was the 27th women's golf World Amateur Team Championship for the Espirito Santo Trophy. The tournament was a 72-hole stroke play team event. There were a record 55 team entries, each with up to three players. Two nations, Bulgaria and Morocco, made their first appearances at the Espirito Santo Trophy. Each team played two rounds at Mayakoba and two rounds at Iberostar in different orders, but all leading teams played the fourth round at Mayakoba. The best two scores for each round counted towards the team total. NCAA Division I Women's Golf Championships
The NCAA Division I Women's Golf Championship, played in the month of May, is the annual competition in women's collegiate golf for individuals and teams from universities in Division I. Golf was one of twelve women's sports added to the NCAA championship program for the 1981-82 school year. From its inception through 2014, it was a stroke play team competition with an additional individual award. Beginning in 2015, after 72 holes of stroke play, the top eight teams play in single-elimination match play to determine the team champion.
