Emma Nilsson (golfer)
Emma Nilsson (born 8 March 1994) is a Swedish professional golfer and member of the Ladies European Tour. She was runner-up at the 2020 South African Women's Open. Family and early life Nilsson was born in Kristianstad 1994. Her sister Sarah Nilsson, born in 1997, is also a professional golfer and was a Ladies European Tour rookie in 2017. Amateur career As an amateur Nilsson won the Swedish Junior Strokeplay Championship in 2008, and finished 3rd at the Swedish Junior Matchplay Championship in 2011. She was runner-up at the Spanish International Ladies Amateur Championship in 2010, and 3rd in 2012. She also finished 3rd at the 2011 British Girls Open and 4th at the 2012 German Girls Open. Nilsson played in the 2011 Junior Solheim Cup together with Céline Boutier, Charley Hull, Leona Maguire and Lisa Maguire, a bout which ended in a 12–12 tie. Lisa Maguire
Lisa Maguire (born 30 November 1994) is a former Irish professional golfer. In 2011, she was ranked as high as 10th in the world on the World Amateur Golf Ranking. She retired in 2019. Life A native of County Cavan, her parents are schoolteachers Declan and Breda Maguire. At the age of 9 she gave up a swimming career to concentrate on golf, after breaking her arm in a playground accident. She is 15 minutes older than her twin sister Leona who is also a professional golfer. Amateur career 2005 Maguire began her amateur golf career on 17 March 2005 in a competition at Castle Hume golf course in Enniskillen, County Fermanagh, playing off a handicap of 36. Alice Hewson
Alice Hewson (born 19 August 1997) is an English professional golfer. She won the 2019 European Ladies Amateur and joined the Ladies European Tour in 2020 to win in her first event, the Investec South African Women's Open. Amateur career Hewson hails from Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire. She started golf at the age of six with her Dad and played in her first tournament on her seventh birthday. She won the England U13 championships and was in the National U18 team at age 15. Her first GB&I cap came at age 15 in the Junior Vagliano Trophy and she played in three Vagliano Trophies. 2020 Ladies European Tour
The 2020 Ladies European Tour was a series of golf tournaments for elite female golfers from around the world. The tournaments were sanctioned by the Ladies European Tour (LET). The season was affected by the COVID-19 pandemic with many tournaments either being postponed or cancelled. Johan Edfors
Johan Edfors (born 10 October 1975) is a Swedish professional golfer who plays primarily on the European Tour. Early life and amateur career Edfors was born in Varberg. He attended the University of Texas at San Antonio on a Division I athletic scholarship for men's golf. He played for the team under the coaching of Barry Denton for two years. Professional career Edfors turned professional in 1997. He spent several years playing the second tier Challenge Tour, but failed to make the top hundred on the Order of Merit until 2003, when he won twice and topped the Challenge Tour Order of Merit. He narrowly failed to hold on to his tour card in 2004, but at the end of 2005 he regained it at the Final Qualifying School. Lina Boqvist (born 25 May 1991) is a Swedish professional golfer and member of the Ladies European Tour. In 2021 she won the Aramco Team Series – New York teamed with Jessica Korda and Karolin Lampert. She was runner-up at the 2019 Lalla Meryem Cup. Career Boqvist was born in 1991 in Gislaved, Småland, and learned the game at Isaberg Golf Club, home to the Gisvaled Ladies Open on the 1989 Ladies European Tour. 2018 European Golf Team Championships
The 2018 European Golf Team Championships was a golf tournament played in August 2018 at Gleneagles, Scotland. It was the inaugural event and consisted of three competitions – men's, women's and mixed team format. 16 two-player teams took part in both men's and women's competitions. The event was part of the 2018 European Championships, the inaugural edition of the European Championships, a multi-sport event which took place in Berlin, Germany, and Glasgow, Scotland from 2 to 12 August 2018. Caroline Hedwall
Caroline Ingrid Hedwall (born 13 May 1989) is a Swedish professional golfer who plays on the Ladies European Tour (LET) and the LPGA Tour. In 2013 she became the first player to win five matches in a single Solheim Cup event. As an amateur she was a dominating player, winning the European Ladies Amateur Championship as well as the individual titles at both the Espirito Santo Trophy and the NCAA Championship. The Swedish Golf Federation ( sv, Svenska Golfförbundet, SGF) is the governing body for the sport of golf in Sweden, founded in 1904. The federation is responsible for administering the Rules of Golf, as laid down by The R&A, at the national level. It organizes tournaments, manages the national teams, and promotes the game. As of 2022, the federation organized 448 golf clubs and 505,577 individual members with 536 203 memberships, 74.4% male and 25.6% female. Pilsen Golf Challenge
The Czech Ladies Challenge is a women's professional golf tournament on the LET Access Series, held in the Czech Republic. The event was first played in 2014 at Golf Park Plzeň-Dýšina in the city of Plzeň, 90 km west of Prague, also host to the LET's Sberbank Golf Masters, before moving closer to Prague.
