Lina Boqvist
Lina Boqvist (born 25 May 1991) is a Swedish professional golfer and member of the Ladies European Tour. In 2021 she won the Aramco Team Series – New York teamed with Jessica Korda and Karolin Lampert. She was runner-up at the 2019 Lalla Meryem Cup. Career Boqvist was born in 1991 in Gislaved, Småland, and learned the game at Isaberg Golf Club, home to the Gisvaled Ladies Open on the 1989 Ladies European Tour. As a junior, she collected multiple titles on the Skandia Tour and the Junior Masters Invitational series. Boqvist turned professional ahead of the 2011 season and joined the Swedish Golf Tour, where she won the 2012 Swedish Matchplay Championship. Defending her title in 2013 she lost the final to Anjelika Hammar, but the runner-up finish helped her win the 2013 Swedish Golf Tour Order of Merit. Lynn Carlsson (born 7 May 1994) is a retired Swedish professional golfer. She last played on the Ladies European Tour 2015–2019 and finished runner-up at the 2019 Women's NSW Open. Career Carlsson grew up in Varberg and graduated 2013 from one of the two Swedish National Golf High Schools in south of Sweden before she became a professional golfer the same year and attended one of Sweden's national the Scandinavian School of Golf in Halmstad. Women's Irish Open
The Women's Irish Open is a professional golf tournament on the Ladies European Tour (LET), held in the Republic of Ireland. The tournament became part of the LET schedule in 1994 and ran for ten editions through 2003. After a four-year hiatus, the tournament was revived again in 2008 as part of the buildup to the 2011 Solheim Cup, scheduled for late September at Killeen Castle in County Meath. Killeen Castle hosted the Ladies Irish Open in early August, the week following the Women's British Open. Last played in 2012, the tournament returned in 2022, now held at Dromoland Castle in County Clare. Emma Nilsson (born 8 March 1994) is a Swedish professional golfer and member of the Ladies European Tour. She was runner-up at the 2020 South African Women's Open. Family and early life Nilsson was born in Kristianstad 1994. Her sister Sarah Nilsson, born in 1997, is also a professional golfer and was a Ladies European Tour rookie in 2017. Johan Edfors (born 10 October 1975) is a Swedish professional golfer who plays primarily on the European Tour. Early life and amateur career Edfors was born in Varberg. He attended the University of Texas at San Antonio on a Division I athletic scholarship for men's golf. He played for the team under the coaching of Barry Denton for two years. Professional career Edfors turned professional in 1997. He spent several years playing the second tier Challenge Tour, but failed to make the top hundred on the Order of Merit until 2003, when he won twice and topped the Challenge Tour Order of Merit. The women's golf tournament at the 2016 Summer Olympics placed at the Olympic Golf Course ( pt, Campo OlÃmpico de Golfe), built within the Reserva de Marapendi in the Barra da Tijuca zone, between 17 and 20 August 2016. It was the first women's golf tournament at the Olympics since 1900. Sixty players played four rounds of stroke play. The field included 57 professionals and three amateurs. The event was won by Inbee Park of South Korea with a score −16, defeating Lydia Ko from New Zealand and China's Shanshan Feng who won silver and bronze respectively. Golf At The 2016 Summer Olympics – Qualification
Qualification for Golf at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil was determined not by any form of qualifying tournament, but by the rankings maintained by the International Golf Federation. Qualification was based on world ranking (Official World Golf Ranking for men, Women's World Golf Rankings for women) as of 11 July 2016, with a total of 60 players qualifying in each of the men's and women's events. The top 15 players of each gender qualified, with a limit of four golfers per country that could qualify this way. The remaining spots went to the highest-ranked players from countries that did not already have two golfers qualified, with a limit of two per country.
