Wright State University–Lake Campus
Wright State University–Lake Campus is a branch campus of Wright State University located in Jefferson Township, between Celina, and St. Marys, Ohio. The campus sits on the northern shore of Grand Lake St. Marys at 7600 Lake Campus Drive. Founded in 1962 by the Western Ohio Educational Foundation, an organization created to support higher education in the Mercer and Auglaize counties of Ohio, the school was affiliated with Ohio Northern University before it became a branch campus of Wright State University in 1969. Located near Dayton, Wright State is part of the University System of Ohio. Academics The WSU-Lake Campus offers general education courses and certificate programs, associate degrees, bachelor's degrees and a Master of Business Administration degree. Wright State University
Wright State University is a public research university in Fairborn, Ohio. Celina ( ) is a city in and the county seat of Mercer County, Ohio, United States about 58 miles northwest of Dayton. The population was 10,400 at the 2010 census. Celina is situated on the northwestern shores of Grand Lake St. Marys. History James Watson Riley established Celina in 1834. The settlement was named after Salina, New York. Mercer County is located in the U.S. state of Ohio. As of the 2020 census, the population was 42,528. Its county seat is Celina. The county was created in 1820 and later organized in 1824. It is named for Hugh Mercer, an officer in the American Revolutionary War. Auglaize County () is a county in Northwestern Ohio, United States. As of the 2020 census, the population was 46,442. Its county seat is Wapakoneta. Auglaize County comprises the Wapakoneta Micropolitan Statistical Area, which is also included in the Lima- Van Wert- Celina Combined Statistical Area. The University System of Ohio is the public university system of the state of Ohio. It is governed by the Ohio Department of Higher Education. The system includes all of Ohio's public institutions of higher education: 14 four-year research universities, 24 branch and regional campuses, 23 community colleges and technical colleges, and 13 graduate schools, seven medical schools, six law schools, and ten business schools within campuses.
