Veeraana
''Veeraana'' is a 2010 drama film directed by Yoosuf Shafeeu. Co-produced by Mohamed Abdulla and Fathimath Nahula under Dhekedheke Ves Production and Crytsal Entertainment, the film stars Yoosuf Shafeeu, Niuma Mohamed and Amira Ismail in pivotal roles. The film was released on 28 May 2010. Plot Reena (Niuma Mohamed) and Saajila (Amira Ismail) meets Shahin (Yoosuf Shafeeu) at a masquerade ball and he falls in love with Reena. Meanwhile, Saajila expresses her admirance towards a person she met at the same party. Reena agreed to be friends with Shahin on a condition; he should never love her in any circumstances. However Shahin expresses his endearment towards Reena. She shared the incidence with Saajila and she talked her out of it. Mohamed Abdul Ghanee
Mohamed Abdul Ghanee (born 15 April 1978), commonly known as Theyravaa is a Maldivian singer and songwriter. Early life and career Born to a musical family, Ghanee had no interest in music even when his siblings spend their time in jamming and singing. While studying at Madhrasathul Ifthithaah, he participated in the Inter-house singing competition, on a request by his elder brother. His performance was well noted by judges and received several prizes. The success was followed by his next performance, the song "Theyravaa" which caught the attention of a member from the local music band Zero Degree Atoll, who insisted him to perform a different version of the song in the ''Fannaanunge Muzikee Eid Show'' (1992). The version, which marks his first break in the industry, was loved by the audience and he was considered "a promising singer". Rafiyath Rameeza
Rafiyath Rameeza (23 March 1976) is a Maldivian singer. Early life Rafiyath Rameeza was born and raised in the "Rameez family" where several artists including Ali Rameez and Ibrahim Rameez were brought up and "ruled" the music industry. At the age of 12, while studying at Aminiya School, she competed in the Television Maldives Interschool Singing Competition and continued to participate in the same competition for more years. In 1993, at the age of seventeen, while studying at Malé English School, Rameeza performed the song "Kaakuhey Mithaahuree" in the competition which fetched the award for best performer from her age category and was ranked in the second place of the competition. Aminath Shaufa Saeed
Aminath Shaufa Saeed (9 November 1990) is a Maldivian singer. Career In 2007, Saeed appeared in one of the Television Maldives-created singing series shows, ''Thihan'dhaanugai'', where she performed a cover of the song "Eynee Loabi", originally performed by Masodi Hassan Khaleel. Her voice was regarded as "somber", "husky" and "closed" yet "soulful", mostly comfortable in the lower vocal range. Yoosuf Shafeeu
Yoosuf Shafeeu also known as Eupe (20 October 1975) is a Maldivian film actor, editor, writer, and director. One of the most successful filmmakers and actors in Maldivian Cinema, Shafeeu is the recipient of a number of awards, including eight Gaumee Film Awards, and a Maldives Film Award; ; holding the record of collecting maximum Gaumee Film Award for Best Actor. Ibrahim Zaid Ali
Ibrahim Zaid Ali (born 15 April 1978), commonly known as Kuda Ibbe is a Maldivian singer and music composer. Early life and career Since childhood, Ali had been listening to all genres of songs from Bollywood classical to hip-hop to heavy metal music. At the age of seven, Ali fabricated music equipment including guitar and drum using wood, plywood and tin, where he used these self-made instruments to perform songs in the football stadium. His talent was recognized by a band member who visited his island for a show where this member gifted him with a real guitar. Mohamed Farhad
Mohamed Farhad (18 sep 1999) is a Maldivian singer. Early life and career Farhad was born on 25 June 1982 in Th. Madifushi. Since childhood, he was exposed to music of several genres which leads him to perform in the stage shows held in some of the occasions. Fathimath Zoona (20 October 1965) is a Maldivian singer and a recipient of several awards including one Gaumee Film Award and one Aafathis Award. Fathimath Nahula (born 22 June 1973) is a Maldivian film director, film producer and screenwriter. Early life In 1991, Nahula joined Jamaluddin school and worked as a teacher for four years. During the time, she spends most of her time in writing and developing stories.
