Ibrahim Zaid Ali
Ibrahim Zaid Ali (born 15 April 1978), commonly known as Kuda Ibbe is a Maldivian singer and music composer. Early life and career Since childhood, Ali had been listening to all genres of songs from Bollywood classical to hip-hop to heavy metal music. At the age of seven, Ali fabricated music equipment including guitar and drum using wood, plywood and tin, where he used these self-made instruments to perform songs in the football stadium. His talent was recognized by a band member who visited his island for a show where this member gifted him with a real guitar. In 1997, during his vacation, Ali visited Male' where one of his family members, Ahmed Nihan, a music performer back then, introduced him to the world of The Beatles, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Iron Maiden, Metallica and Guns N' Roses. National Award Of Recognition For Performing Arts
The National Award of Recognition for Performing Arts is one of the categories in the National Award of Recognition presented annually by the President of the Maldives to acknowledge, encourage and honor the outstanding contribution of individuals in film production, direction, acting, singing and music composition. The National Award is the most prestigious award given in Maldives. Established in 1979, National Award was given in major two categories; National Award of Honor and National Award of Recognition, which is further categorized based on the honored fields. The first recipient of the award was music composer Ibrahim Ahmed, who has been noted as the local "backbone" for modernizing the old-fashioned music into the latest trend. Voice of Maldives, or Dhivehi Raajjeyge Adu ( dv, ދިވެހި ރާއްޖޭގެ އަޑު), is a radio station in the Republic of Maldives. ''Raajjé Radio'', owned by the state, began broadcasting in 1962, under the name 'Male Radio'. It runs two radio channels, Voice of Maldiveon 1458 kHz AM with a live internet strea(news and information) and RajjeFM (entertainment). Voice of Maldives is a national radio service and is operated by the Ministry of Information Arts and Culture under the Government of the Republic of Maldives. Sound broadcasting started in India in 1962 with the proliferation of private radio clubs. ''Maafeh Neii'' is a 2010 family drama film directed and produced by Ali Seezan. Produced under Cxanal Movies, the film stars Seezan, Niuma Mohamed and Koyya Hassan Manik in pivotal roles. The film was released on 9 March 2010. The film focuses on three generations of one family. It highlights many social issues, such as the human rights abuses, forced marriages and domestic violence. The entire film is shot at B. Kamadhoo. The font design used in the posters of film caused confused the audience with a title ''Maadeh Neiy'' which has no native meaning. Mumthaz Moosa is a Maldivian former singer. Career Mumthaz was first heard in the early 2000s where he appeared in some of the local stage shows being performed at that time. After his talent was recognized by the music directors, he was offered to record several songs for studio albums and feature films where the songs "Reydhuvaa Gunamun" from ''Rasfarihi'' (2003) and "Hibakuramey" from ''Saahil'' (2004) were some of his earlier releases in his professional career. Aishath Inaya
Aishath Inaya (15 May 1968) is a Maldivian singer. Early life and career Aishath Inaya is the mother of local performer and musician, Andhala Haleem. Inaya started her career in the music industry in 1987, by performing the song "Keerithi Lha Kujja" for the local band Zero Degree. Afterwards, she lent her voice for songs included in the album series of ''4 Hand'', followed by several stage shows.
