Shanghai–Nanjing Expressway
The Shanghai–Nanjing Expressway () is the main expressway between the Chinese cities of Shanghai and Nanjing. It is also the busiest expressway in China. The expressway began construction on June 14, 1992, was completed in February 1996, and opened to traffic November 28, 1996. That year, it was listed as a key national construction project. As the first highway in Jiangsu province, the Shanghai–Nanjing Expressway has up-to-date charge, monitoring, communications, lighting, safety and service facilities. It has improved transportation in Jiangsu and Shanghai, and encourages development along its length. It was the first expressway in China to use remote traffic monitoring. Kunshan
Kunshan is a county-level city in southeastern Jiangsu province with Shanghai bordering its eastern border and Suzhou on its western boundary. It is under the administration of the prefecture-level city of Suzhou. Name There is a strong possibility that the name Kunshan is derived from a hill, but which one is controversial. According to an impacted version, the hill is present-day Little Kunshan (''Xiaokunshan'') in Shanghai's Songjiang District. The character (''Kun'') was the old Chinese name for the Kunlun Mountains. Jurong, Jiangsu
Jurong () is a county-level city under the administration of Zhenjiang, Jiangsu province, China. In 129 BC, the then Prince of Changsha Liu Fa's son, Dang became the Marquis of Jurong. As he died soon, the lands enfeoffed to him became Jurong county in the next year. Jurong was under the jurisdiction of Nanjing historically, but it was annexed to the Prefecture of Zhenjiang in 1950, then Zhenjiang in 1983. Zhenjiang
Zhenjiang, alternately romanized as Chinkiang, is a prefecture-level city in Jiangsu Province, China. It lies on the southern bank of the Yangtze River near its intersection with the Grand Canal. It is opposite Yangzhou (to its north) and between Nanjing (to its west) and Changzhou (to its east). Shuofang Subdistrict
Shuofang () was an ancient Chinese commandery, situated in the Hetao region in modern-day Inner Mongolia near Baotou.
