Punta Alta de Comalesbienes, also known as Punta Alta, is a mountain of Catalonia, Spain. Punta Alta has an elevation of 3.014 metres above sea level. It is located close to the 2993 m high Pic de Comalesbienes, on the eastern side of the Estany de Cavallers glacial lake, near the Besiberri Massif, in the Vall de Boí, Pyrenees. Vilaller
Vilaller is a town and municipality in the ''comarca'' of Alta Ribagorça in Catalonia, Spain. Besides from the town of Vilaller, the municipality comprises the hamlet of Senet de Barravés and the old stable of Cierco, the latter is abandoned: only Senet and Vilaller have permanent population. In the past Casós, Sarroqueta de Barravés and Viuet belonged to Vilaller. The parish church of Vilaller is dedicated to Saint Clement. Nearby the town there is also the sanctuary of the Mother of God of Riupedrós or Reperós, the hermitages of Saint Mammes, Saint Anthony and Saint Peter (of which just few rests remain), the first chapel of the Seminar, dedicated to the Immaculate Conception, and the second chapel of the Seminar dedicated to Saint Joseph. Vall De Boí
The Vall de Boí () is a narrow, steep-sided valley and a small municipality in the province of Lleida, in the autonomous community of Catalonia, northern Spain. It lies in the northeastern corner of the comarca of Alta Ribagorça, on the edges of the Pyrenees. It is the largest municipality of the region, with its main town being Barruera. The valley is best known for its nine Early Romanesque churches, making it the site of the densest concentration of Romanesque architecture in Europe. Alta Ribagorça () is one of the comarques of Catalonia, Spain. Its capital is Pont de Suert. The highest peak is the Comaloformo (3030 metres above sea level) in the massif of Bessiberri. Glacial Lake
A glacial lake is a body of water with origins from glacier activity. They are formed when a glacier erodes the land and then melts, filling the depression created by the glacier. Formation Near the end of the last glacial period, roughly 10,000 years ago, glaciers began to retreat. A retreating glacier often left behind large deposits of ice in hollows between drumlins or hills. As the ice age ended, these melted to create lakes. This is apparent in the Lake District in Northwestern England where post-glacial sediments are normally between 4 and 6 metres deep. These lakes are often surrounded by drumlins, along with other evidence of the glacier such as moraines, eskers and erosional features such as striations and chatter marks. Besiberri Massif ( ca, Massís del Besiberri) is a mountain massif of the central area of the Pyrenees, Lleida, Catalonia, Spain. It is located at the western limit of the Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici National Park. Most main summits of the Besiberri Massif are three-thousanders. This list contains all of the Pyrenean three-thousanders, namely the 129 mountain summits of or more above sea level in the Pyrenees, a range of mountains in southwest Europe that forms a natural border between France and Spain.
