Louis Soldan
Louis Soldan (19 March 1920 – 25 April 1971) was an Austrian actor. Biography Louis Soldan was the son of the shoe manufacturer Alois Soldan. After middle school, he trained as an actor at the Drama Seminar of ''Dr. Beer''. Soldan appeared in various film, television and radio play productions. From 1950 to 1951, he acted in a theater in Graz. This was followed by appearances at the Volkstheater in Vienna starting in 1951. From 1954 to 1958 he was a member of the ensemble of the Theater in der Josefstadt. Graz

Volkstheater, Vienna
The Volkstheater in Vienna (roughly translated as "People's Theatre") was founded in 1889 by request of the citizens of Vienna, amongst them the dramatist Ludwig Anzengruber and the furniture manufacturer Thonet, in order to offer a popular counter weight to the ''Hofburgtheater''. It was erected according to designs by Ferdinand Fellner and Hermann Helmer, who attempted to reconcile their plans with historicism. It is located in Neubau, the seventh district of Vienna. The founders of this stage had a theatrical stage in mind, in order to expose wider circles of the population of Vienna to classical and modern literature whilst staging these next to more traditional plays. The Theater in der Josefstadt is a theater in Vienna in the eighth district of Josefstadt. It was founded in 1788 and is the oldest still performing theater in Vienna. It is often referred to colloquially as simply ''Die Josefstadt''. Following remodeling and rebuilding in 1822 — celebrated by the performance of the overture '' Die Weihe des Hauses'' ('Consecration of the House') by Beethoven — opera was staged there including Meyerbeer and Wagner. ''A Salzburg Comedy'' or ''Little Border Traffic'' (german: Der kleine Grenzverkehr) is a 1943 German comedy film directed by Hans Deppe and starring Willy Fritsch, Hertha Feiler and Heinz Salfner.Rentschler p. 380 Erich Kästner wrote the screenplay based on one of his own novels. As he had been blacklisted by the Nazi Party he used the pseudonym Berhold Bürger. The novel was again adapted for the 1957 film ''Salzburg Stories''. Although it was set in Austria, the film was not made by the Vienna-based Wien-Film which had been set up following the Anschluss of 1938.
