Balthasar Paul Ommeganck
Balthasar Paul Ommeganck (sometimes also: Paul Balthasar Ommeganck) (1755–1826) was a Flemish painter of landscape painter, landscapes and animal painter, animals active in Antwerp. Through his work and his role as an art teacher and founder of art institutions he gave an important impetus to the revitalization of landscape painting in the Low Countries.Dominique Vautier. He was registered in the Antwerp Guild of Saint Luke as a pupil of the respected painter Hendricus Josephus Antonissen from 1767. Marten Waefelaerts
Marten Waefelaerts (1748 - 1799) was a Flemish 18th century landscape painter. He was probably born in Antwerp, but little is known about his early years. He worked in the years 1790–1800. In 1792, he exhibited three landscapes in Ghent. He also etched upwards of a hundred plates of landscapes and animals, some after his own designs, and others after Ommeganck, De Roy, and Van Assche. He died in 1844.
