2018–19 ProA
The 2018–19 ProA was the 12th season of the ProA, the second level of basketball in Germany. The champions and the runners-up of the play-offs were promoted to the 2019–20 Basketball Bundesliga. Hamburg Towers won its first ProA championship after defeating Nürnberg Falcons, which promoted too, in the finals. Nürnberg did not promote after all after it could not meet Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) BBL arena requirements. Rostock Seawolves
Rostock Seawolves is a professional basketball club based in Rostock, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany. The club currently competes in the Basketball Bundesliga. The Seawolves play their home games in the Rostocker Stadthalle. Within the New states of Germany, the Rostock Seawolves have more active members than any other basketball club. (3rd most within Germany overall, as of December 2021) History The EBC was founded in 1994 by members of the Sportgemeinschaft (SG) Fischkombinat (FiKo) Rostock and the HSG Uni Rostock. For the first time, the team was promoted to the 1st regional league in 2007. Despite a successful start to the season, however, direct relegation could not be avoided. Niners Chemnitz e.V., also named Chemnitz 99, is a German basketball club based in Chemnitz, Saxony. Currently, the team plays in the Basketball Bundesliga. Since its foundation in 1999, the team has played in Germany's lower divisions but moved up second division ProA in 2002. It promoted to Germany's prime league Basketball Bundesliga for the first time in 2020. The Niners won the FIBA Europe Cup in 2024.
