The 2017–18 ProA was the 11th season of the ProA, the second level of basketball in Germany. The champions and the runners-up of the play-offs are promoted to the 2018–19 Basketball Bundesliga. The 2016–17 ProA was the 10th season of the ProA, the second level of basketball in Germany. The champions the runners-up of the play-offs are promoted to the 2017–18 Basketball Bundesliga. The season started on September 22, 2016 and ended on May 7, 2017. Mitteldeutscher won the championship and promoted along with runners-up Oettinger Rockets. Crailsheim
Crailsheim is a town in the German state of Baden-Württemberg. Incorporated in 1338, it lies east of Schwäbisch Hall and southwest of Ansbach in the Schwäbisch Hall district. The city's main attractions include two Evangelical churches, a Catholic church, and the 67 metre tower of its town hall. History Crailsheim is famed for withstanding a siege by forces of three imperial cities - Schwäbisch Hall, Dinkelsbühl, and Rothenburg ob der Tauber - lasting from 1379 until 1380, a feat which it celebrates annually. Crailsheim became a possession of the Burgrave of Nuremberg following the siege. In 1791 it became part of the Prussian administrative region, before returning to Bavaria in 1806 and becoming a part of Württemberg in 1810. ProB
The ProB is the third-tier level league of professional club basketball in Germany. The league comprises 24 teams, separated into a Northern and a Southern Division. Officially, the ProB is part of the '' 2. Basketball Bundesliga'', which consists of the two hierarchical leagues ''ProA'' and ''ProB''. Before the 2007–08 season, the ''2. Basketball Bundesliga'' was a basketball league with the same name, which consisted of two geographical divisions.
