Rostock Seawolves is a professional basketball club based in Rostock, Germany. The club currently competes in the Basketball Bundesliga. The Seawolves play their home games in the Rostocker Stadthalle. In May 2018, the Seawolves signed Milan Škobalj as their new head coach, SVZ.de, 9 May 2018, retrieved 7 July 2018. who later left the team. Since 2020, the head coach has been Dirk Bauermann

Basketball Bundesliga
The Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) (English language: ''Federal Basketball League''), for sponsorship reasons named easyCredit BBL, is the highest level league of professional club basketball in Germany. The league comprises 18 teams. A BBL season is split into a league stage and a playoff stage. At the end of the league stage, the top eight teams qualify for the playoff stage, and the teams positioned in the 17th and 18th places are relegated to a lower-tier league. The playoffs are played in a "Best of five" format. The winning team of the final round are crowned the German Champions of that season. In addition to the league competition, all BBL teams compete for the German Basketball Cup. Teams playing in the second league (ProA or ProB), or in a lower level Regionalliga, are also eligible to participate in the BBL-Cup. 2018–19 ProA
The 2018–19 ProA was the 12th season of the ProA, the second level of basketball in Germany. The champions and the runners-up of the play-offs were promoted to the 2019–20 Basketball Bundesliga. Hamburg Towers won its first ProA championship after defeating Nürnberg Falcons, which promoted too, in the finals. Milan Škobalj ( sr-Cyrl, Милан Шкобаљ, born 9 July 1963) is a Serbian professional basketball coach and former player. He mostly recently coached in Luxembourg. Coaching career Škobalj had worked as an assistant coach in FMP Železnik for three seasons before he became the assistant coach of Crvena zvezda in 2001. In 2008 had a stint as a head coach of Crvena zvezda after Stevan Karadžić resign. In 2008–09 season he was an assistant coach of Kyiv in Ukrainian League. Dirk Bauermann (born 10 December 1957) is a German professional basketball coach. Playing career Bauermann played club basketball in the German senior club of BBC Krefeld, from 1975 to 1981. Club coaching career Bauermann was an assistant coach at Fresno State University, with the Fresno State Bulldogs, from 1986 to 1988. He was then an assistant coach with the German League club TSV Bayer 04 Leverkusen during the 1988-89 season, before becoming the team's head coach prior to the 1989-90 season. With Leverkusen, he won 7 German League championships and 4 German Cups, and was twice named the German League's Coach of the Year. Yannick Anzuluni (born August 21, 1988) is a Canadian professional basketballer, who played for Rostock Seawolves of the German ProA league. Previously, when he played with Tampereen Pyrintö (basketball), Tampereen Pyrintö team in the Finnish First Division, he was an All-Star, led the league in scoring and steals, and was named Player of the Year. Dino Butorac (born October 8, 1990) is a Croatian basketball player who last played for Þór Þorlákshöfn of the Icelandic Úrvalsdeild karla. During his career he has won the Swedish Basketball League twice, in 2014 and 2015, and the Bosnia and Herzegovina Basketball League in 2012. Zach Lofton (born November 18, 1992) is an American professional basketball player for Dynamo Lebanon of the Lebanese Basketball League. He played college basketball for New Mexico State University (NMSU). He transferred to NMSU from Texas Southern, where he was named the Southwestern Athletic Conference Player of the Year in 2017. Basketball Bundesliga-Pokal, commonly known as the BBL-Pokal, is the annual national basketball cup competition in Germany. Since 2009, the title has been awarded to the winner of a tournament competition between top clubs of each Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) season. History and format The competition was founded in 1966, by the German Basketball Federation. The first final of the German Basketball Cup took place on 11 June 1967, in Oberhausen. Since 1993, the cup championship is decided in a final four format, which is held over one weekend. The host team of the cup's final four, is automatically set as one of the participants.
