2017–18 Club Atlético River Plate Season
The 2017–18 season is Club Atlético River Plate's 7th consecutive season in the top-flight of Argentine football. The season covers the period from 1 July 2017 to 30 June 2018. Season events On June 26, Germán Lux signed a 3-year contract after leaving Deportivo La Coruña. This was the return of the goalkeeper to the team where he started his career in 2001. He had left in 2007. On June 30, the new signed players Germán Lux, Javier Pinola, Enzo Perez and Ignacio Scocco were officially presented in a press conference at the club's stadium. Franco Armani (; born 16 October 1986) is an Argentine professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Argentine Primera División club River Plate and the Argentina national team. Jonatan Maidana
Jonatan Ramón Maidana (born 29 July 1985) is an Argentine professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for River Plate. Club career After an initial period in Los Andes, Maidana transferred to Boca Juniors and made his debut with a 9-minute substitute appearance in a 2–2 draw with São Paulo F.C. in the 2006 Recopa Sudamericana. Augusto Batalla
Augusto Martín Batalla Barga (born 30 April 1996) is an Argentine professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Granada, on loan from River Plate. He is a former Argentina U20's international. Club career Batalla is product of the River Plate academy, which he joined as a five-year old. The 2017 Supercopa Argentina Final was the 6th edition of the Supercopa Argentina, an annual football match contested by the winners of the Argentine Primera División and Copa Argentina competitions. The match was played at the Estadio Malvinas Argentinas in the city of Mendoza on 14 March 2018. Boca Juniors and River Plate qualified after winning the 2016–17 Argentine Primera División tournament and the 2016–17 Copa Argentina, respectively. 2017–18 Copa Argentina
The 2017–18 Copa Argentina (officially the Copa Total Argentina 2017–18 for sponsorship reasons) was the ninth edition of the Copa Argentina, and the seventh since the relaunch of the tournament in 2011. The competition began on 19 January 2018 and ended on 6 December 2018. Rosario Central defeated Gimnasia y Esgrima (LP) on penalties in the Final to win their first title. Leonardo Ponzio
Leonardo Daniel Ponzio (born 29 January 1982) is an Argentinian former footballer who played mainly as a defensive midfielder.
