The 2013-14 Elitserien was the seventh season of the Swedish bandy league Elitserien. The final was played at Friends Arena in Solna on 16 March 2014. Sandvikens AIK claimed the championship. Elitserien (bandy)
The Elitserien (literally, the "Elite League") ( sv, Elitserien i bandy) is since the 2007–08 season the highest bandy league in Sweden. It consists of 14 teams. The season ends with one final game in March. The final was held at Studenternas IP in Uppsala from 1991 until 2012. In 2013 and 2014 the final was played at Friends Arena in Solna, and from 2015 to 2017 it was played at the Tele2 Arena. The final returned to 4,600-capacity Studenternas IP indoor stadium in 2018. Season structure During the regular season the fourteen teams play each other team at home and away - a total of 26 games per team. The top six teams directly qualify for the playoffs for the league championship, while the teams ranked from 7th to 10th enter an additional play-off to decide which teams take the other two championship play-off places. Söderhamn is a Urban areas in Sweden, locality and the seat of Söderhamn Municipality, Gävleborg County, Sweden with 11,761 inhabitants in 2010. Sports The biggest local sport is bandy. Kungälv () (old no, Konghelle) is a city and the seat of Kungälv Municipality in Västra Götaland County, Sweden. It had 22,768 inhabitants in 2010. In 2021, the main Kungälv - Ytterby - Kareby conurbation had a combined population approaching 30,000. In total, the whole municipality had 47,050 inhabitants. IFK Kungälv
IFK Kungälv is a sports club in Kungälv in Sweden, founded in 1940, and mostly concentrated on the sport of bandy. The club has been playing in the Swedish bandy top division Elitserien for many seasons, at present since 2008/09. The home kit is a red jersey, blue trousers, and red socks. The home arena is Skarpe Nord. The supporter club is called Skarpa Gubbar. As all IFK clubs in Sweden, IFK Kungälv is a member of Idrottsföreningen Kamraterna. On 8 April 2016 it was announced that the club had not fulfilled the requirements for elite licence and therefore was kicked out of Elitserien from the 2016/2017 season, with two weeks of possibility to appeal against the denial. Zinkensdamms IP
Zinkensdamms idrottsplats, usually ''Zinkensdamms IP'' or colloquially ''Zinken'' or ''Zinkens'', is a sports ground in Södermalm in central Stockholm, Sweden. The ground was designed by architect Paul Hedqvist and was inaugurated on 18 May 1937 with a football game between Reymersholms IK and Djurgårdens IF. Arena Heden
Heden is a ballcourt and public space and square in the centre of Gothenburg, Sweden. Football matches are played there in the run-up to the final of the Gothia Cup. The final is played at Ullevi. GAIS Bandy
GAIS Bandy is the bandy section of sports club GAIS from Gothenburg. In 1920, GAIS won the Gothenburg district championship, but the club had not had an active bandy department for years when it took up playing bandy again in 2005. GAIS play their home games at Heden in central Gothenburg. GAIS came close to winning their first tournament in 2006 when they lost 6-10 to IFK Kungälv in the final of the Kosa Cup. Dina Arena
Edsbyn Arena is a sports venue in Edsbyn. It is the home of Edsbyns IF. Inaugurated on 22 September 2003 by King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden, it was the first indoor bandy rink in Sweden. Major work was completed following the 2002–2003 season. On 31 March 2003, construction of the ceiling began. The unit was shut down the same day, and removal of the former ice began. In April the same year, the wooden beams were delivered.
