Dina Arena
Edsbyn Arena is a sports venue in Edsbyn. It is the home of Edsbyns IF. Inaugurated on 22 September 2003 by King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden, it was the first indoor bandy rink in Sweden. Major work was completed following the 2002–2003 season. On 31 March 2003, construction of the ceiling began. The unit was shut down the same day, and removal of the former ice began. In April the same year, the wooden beams were delivered. Edsbyn
Edsbyn () is a locality and the seat of Ovanåker Municipality, Gävleborg County, Sweden with 3,985 inhabitants in 2010. It is located in the historical province of Hälsingland. Edsbyn is most famous for its former ski and nowadays office furniture manufacturing industry Edsbyverken; the sports club Edsbyns IF; and being the hometown of the creator of Minecraft, Markus Persson throughout his early childhood. Climate Edsbyn has a subarctic climate (Köppen ''Dfc'') with long winters with occasional strong cold periods and short but mild summers. Being situated in a river valley at a moderately high elevation surrounded by high hills, the settlement is in a frost hollow. This results in large swings between different times of the day and larger seasonal variations than seen elsewhere in Hälsingland. Edsbyns IF
Edsbyns IF, is a bandy team from Edsbyn in Ovanåker Municipality in Sweden founded on 6 June 1909. The bandy section of the club was founded as late as in 1925 was formally made a club of its own on 28 June 2000. Edsbyns IF has played in the highest bandy league in Sweden from 1945–1969 and then again since 1971. History Edsbyns IF was founded in 1909. In September 2003, Edsbyn moved to Edsbyn Arena, the first indoor arena for bandy in Sweden, and won the Swedish Championship final in the end of the season. In June 2009, the club decided to dissolve the women's bandy team for the 2009–2010 season, while keeping the girls' bandy activity and attempting to re-start the women's team as soon as possible. On 4 October 2009, the women's bandy team Team Hälsingland was established instead, as a cooperation between Bollnäs GIF, Broberg/Söderhamn Bandy, Edsbyns IF and Ljusdals BK. Carl XVI Gustaf Of Sweden
Carl XVI Gustaf (Carl Gustaf Folke Hubertus; born 30 April 1946) is King of Sweden. He ascended the throne on the death of his grandfather, Gustaf VI Adolf, on 15 September 1973. He is the youngest child and only son of Prince Gustaf Adolf, Duke of Västerbotten, and Princess Sibylla of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha. His father died on 26 January 1947 in an airplane crash in Denmark when Carl Gustaf was nine months old. Upon his father's death, he became second in line to the throne, after his grandfather, the then Crown Prince Gustaf Adolf. Following the death of his great-grandfather, King Gustaf V, in 1950, Gustaf Adolf ascended the throne and thus Carl Gustaf became Sweden's new crown prince and heir apparent to the throne at the age of four. Ljusdals IF
Ljusdals IF is a sports club in Ljusdal, Sweden, currently only playing soccer. History The club was founded on 9 June 1904 and originally competed in soccer, track and field athletics, gymnastics and cross-country skiing. The club has also competed in bandy, ski jumping, handball, ice hockey, orienteering and swimming. The men's soccer team made it to the Norrland Championship final game in 1950, losing 0–4 to Skellefteå AIK. The team also played four seasons in the Swedish top division between 1968–1971. Ljusdals IF currently plays in Division 4 Hälsingland which is the sixth tier of Swedish football. They play their home matches at the Älvvallen in Ljusdal.
