Yasenevo District
Yasenevo District (russian: райо́н Я́сенево) is an administrative district (raion) of South-Western Administrative Okrug, and one of the 125 raions of Moscow, Russia. The area of the district is . Population: 172,300 (2017 est.). General Yasenevo is located in the South of Moscow and is adjacent to the Moscow Ring Road. The development of the residential area started in 1976 under the leadership of Yakov Belopolsky, an architect specialising in complex development of residential districts. Yasenevo is a commuter area without major industrial sites. The neighbouring districts are Tyoply Stan to the West, Konkovo and Zyuzino to the North, and Chertanovo to the East. To the South, the area beyond the Ring Road has never been developed; it was part of the Moscow Oblast until 2012 when it was assigned to the newly-created Novomoskovsky Administrative Okrug. Chertanovo (russian: Чертаново) is a housing area in the Southern Administrative Okrug of Moscow, Russia. The name derives from Chertanovo village first mentioned in 1665. The territory became part of Moscow in 1960. The area is 21,3 km2 and has a population of 364,693 ( census of 2010). Tyoply Stan (Moscow Metro)
Tyoply Stan (russian: Тёплый Стан) is a station near the southern end of the Moscow Metro's Kaluzhsko-Rizhskaya Line. Design It was built to column tri-span design and opened on 6 November 1987 and was a temporary terminus of the line. (Remains of a piston junction can still be seen near the station.) Bitsa Park
Bitsevski Park (russian: Битцевский парк), or Bitsa Park, is one of the largest natural parks (forests) in Moscow, Russia. The park, traversed by the Chertanovka River and the Bitsa River, sprawls for some 10 km from north to south and covers the area of 18 square kilometres. The park is elongated from the north to the south and is bounded by Balaklavsky Avenue from the north. Nature The park is home to more than 500 species of plants, including lindens, oaks, and fine firs, planted by Mikhail Katkov's son at his family manor in the 19th century. 33 species of mammals and 78 species of birds have been registered in the park. A raion (also spelt rayon) is a type of administrative unit of several post-Soviet states. The term is used for both a type of subnational entity and a division of a city. The word is from the French (meaning 'honeycomb, department'), and is commonly translated as "district" in English.
