Xiwengzhuang Town () is a town located in the Miyun District of Beijing, China. Situated on the southwest of the Miyun Reservoir, it borders Shicheng and Bulaotun Towns to the north, Mujiayu Town to the east, Miyun Town to the south, and Xitiangezhuang Town to the west. In the year 2020, its population was 20,438. This town got the name Xiwengzhuang () due to its government being located in Xiwengzhuang Village. Miyun Town () is a town in Miyun District, Beijing, China. Situated near the Bai River, It borders Xiwengzhuang Town to its north, Tanying Ethnic Township and Gulou Subdistrict to its east, Guoyuan Subdistrict and Shilipu Town to its south, and Xitiangezhuang Town to its west. In 2020, the census counted 20,392 residents for this town. The name Miyun () is referring to the collection of tall mountains located at the south of the town, where clouds can be seen gathering around the mountain tops. Mujiayu
Mujiayu Town () is a town located in the Miyun District of Beijing, China. It is situated at the south of Miyun Reservoir. The town shares border with Bulaotun Town in its north, Taishitun Town in its northeast, Jugezhuang and Henanzhai Towns in its south, Tanying Ethnic Township and Gulou Subdistrict in its southwest, and Xiwengzhuang Town in its west. In 2020, it was home to 23,084 inhabitants. The town was given the name Mujiayu () for it being the supposed homeland of Mu Guiying, a legendary Chinese heroine during the Song dynasty. Shicheng Town () is a town located in the Miyun District of Beijing, China. It shares border with Changshaoying Manchu Ethnic Township and Fengjiayu Town to its north, Bulaotun and Xiwengzhuang Towns to its east, Xitiangezhuang and Huaibei Towns to its south, as well as Liulimiao and Tanghekou Towns to its west. Miyun District
Miyun District () is situated in northeast Beijing. It has an area of and a population of 460,800 (2010 Census). Miyun District government seat is located in Gulou Subdistrict. History Miyun was one of the places where Warlord Feng Yuxiang stationed his troops in preparation of the Beijing Coup of 1924. In the 1930s, Miyun District was occupied by the Imperial Japanese Army and became part of the area controlled by the East Hebei Autonomous Council, a puppet state of Japan. The Japanese occupation was challenged, however, when a local Taoist priest managed to incite Miyun's peasantry. As member of the Yellow Sand Society, he garnered followers and convinced them that they could become immune to gunfire through magical rituals that he performed. Thus highly motivated, the peasants launched a rebellion in July 1936 and defeated an East Hopei Army unit that was sent to suppress them. Bulaotun Town () is a town located in the Miyun District of Beijing, China. It lies between part of Yan Mountain Range and Miyun Reservoir. The town borders Mayingzi Manchu Ethnic Township to the north, Gaoling Town to the east, Xiwengzhuang and Mujiayu Towns to the south, as well as Shicheng and Fengjiayu Towns to the west. Miyun Reservoir
Miyun Reservoir () is a large-scale reservoir in Miyun District, Beijing, China, straddling the Chao River (潮河) and Bai River (白河). There are two major rivers flowing into the reservoir, namely the Bai River and the Chao River. The reservoir was formally completed on September 1, 1960. Miyun Reservoir is the largest comprehensive water conservancy project in North China. The reservoir covers an area of 180 square kilometers, with a reservoir capacity of 4 billion cubic meters and an average depth of 30 meters, making it the largest and only source of drinking-water supply for Beijing, serving over 11 million people.
