Xinzhuang, Shanghai
Xinzhuang () is a town located in Minhang District, Shanghai, China. The town was, by the early 21st century, essentially walking toward the greater Shanghai urban area. On April 15, 1999, Korean Air Cargo Flight 6316 crashed in Xinzhuang, killing all three people on board along with five more people on the ground. Transport The Xinzhuang Metro Station is located in the east of Xinzhuang, providing access to Metro Line 1 and Line 5, and will provide access to Jinshan Railway in the near future. To the north and south of the station are 2 squares. In the northern square there was a bus terminal providing services to the local Xinzhuang areas (Now is under re-construction because of the Project Tianhui); at the southern square there is a bus terminal connects Xinzhuang with a number of surrounding regional areas. When referring to political divisions of China, town is the standard English translation of the Chinese (traditional: ; ). Minhang District
Minhang District is a suburban district of Shanghai with a land area of and population of 2,429,000 residents as of 2010. The original Minhang consist of present-day Jiangchuan Road Subdistrict (Former Minhang Town) and the eastern strip of Wujing along the Huangpu River in 1992, the surrounding Shanghai County merged with Minhang. It is mostly a residential district, though it is also home to some of the many factories and production facilities in Shanghai. Residential housing development is the main source of local government revenue. Qizhong Forest Sports City Arena (旗忠森林体育城) is located in Ma Qiao Town (马桥镇). Korean Air Cargo Flight 6316 (KE6316/KAL6316) was a scheduled Korean Air Cargo freight flight from Shanghai to Seoul. On 15 April 1999, the McDonnell Douglas MD-11F operating the route, registered as HL7373, crashed in Xinzhuang, Shanghai shortly after taking off from Hongqiao Airport, killing all 3 crew on board, along with 5 on the ground. Line 1 is a north-south line of the Shanghai Metro. It runs from in the north, via to in the south. The first line to open in the Shanghai Metro system, line 1 serves many important points in Shanghai, including and Xujiahui. Line 5 is a north–south rapid transit line of the Shanghai Metro network, running from station in Minhang District in the north to in Fengxian District was originally planned as the Minhang and Fengxian sections of line 1 extending south to Minhang. Jinshan Railway
Jinshan Railway () or Jinshan Line is a commuter railway line in Shanghai, part of the planned Shanghai Metropolitan Area Intercity Railway. It runs from in Xuhui District via in Minhang District to in Jinshan District, crossing the Huangpu River on a dedicated railway bridge. Passengers can transfer to Lines 1, 3, 5 and 15. Originally built in 1975 as a suburban branch, it has since been upgraded into a high-speed commuter rail line which opened on 28 September 2012. The line was branded as Line 22 before opening.
