Wu Fan (Three Kingdoms)
Wu Fan (Simplified Chinese: 吴凡; Hanyu Pinyin: Wú Fán) (December 1923 – 6 December 2015) was a Chinese artist from Chongqing in Sichuan province. He studied guohua with Pan Tianshou and Li Keran and oil painting with Ni Yide. He is most famous as a woodblock print artist. His most famous work 'Dandelion' (1959) demonstrates his mastery of the shuiyin printing style and won gold prize at the Leipzig International Print Competition. Hanyu Pinyin
Hanyu Pinyin (), often shortened to just pinyin, is the official romanization system for Standard Mandarin Chinese in China, and to some extent, in Singapore and Malaysia. It is often used to teach Mandarin, normally written in Chinese form, to learners already familiar with the Latin alphabet. The system includes four diacritics denoting tones, but pinyin without tone marks is used to spell Chinese names and words in languages written in the Latin script, and is also used in certain computer input methods to enter Chinese characters. The word ' () literally means "Han language" (i.e. Chinese language), while ' () means "spelled sounds". Sichuan

Guohua
Chinese painting () is one of the oldest continuous artistic traditions in the world. Painting in the traditional style is known today in Chinese as ''guó huà'' (), meaning "national painting" or "native painting", as opposed to Western styles of art which became popular in China in the 20th century. It is also called ''danqing'' (). Traditional painting involves essentially the same techniques as Chinese calligraphy, calligraphy and is done with a Ink and wash painting, brush dipped in black ink or Chinese pigment, coloured pigments; oils are not used. Pan Tianshou
Pan Tianshou (; 1897–1971) was a Chinese painter and art educator. Pan was born in Guanzhuang, Ninghai County, Zhejiang Province, and graduated from Zhejiang First Normal School (now Hangzhou High School). He studied Chinese traditional painting with Wu Changshuo, and built the foundation of Chinese traditional painting education. He was persecuted during the Cultural Revolution until his death in 1971. Li Keran
Li Keran (; 26 March 1907 – 5 December 1989), art name Sanqi, was a contemporary Chinese '' guohua'' painter and art educator. Considered one of the most important Chinese artists in the latter half of the 20th century, he was also an influential professor at the Central Academy of Fine Arts where he taught a generation of Chinese artists. Although trained in Western oil painting, he was known for his traditional literati paintings with influences from Qi Baishi and Huang Binhong, two renowned masters in Chinese painting. Li's paintings are highly valued at auctions, with several fetching hundreds of millions of yuan. His personal auction record was set by ''Thousands of Hills in a Crimsoned View'' (also translated as ''Landscape in Red''), one of his most celebrated works, which sold for (US$46 million) in June 2012. Ni Yide
Ni Yide (1901–1970) was a Chinese modernist painter, writer and art critic. Artistic career He graduated in 1922 from the earliest training ground for modern Western art in China, the Shanghai Art School. He became a professor at the Shanghai Art Academy upon his graduation. He continued his studies in Western art and art history in Tokyo at the Kubwata Painting school under Fujishima Takeji. In 1927, Ni returned to China to protest the Japanese military incursion into Shandong. There, he taught at Gangzhou Municipal Art School, then at the Wuchang College of Art in Hubei. By 1930, he was an art critic, theorist, and creative writer, as well as an oil painter. In 1931 Ni, Pang Xunqin (1906–1985), and five other modernist painters formed the Storm society to promote modern Western art's influence on Chinese art. Ni Yi-de helped write the group's manifesto.
