Wrestling At The 2022 Asian Games
The 2022 Asian Games (), officially known as the 19th Asian Games (), also known as Hangzhou 2022, ( zh, c=杭州2022, p=Hángzhōu Èr líng èr èr), will be a multi-sport event celebrated in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China. Hangzhou will be the third Chinese city to host the Asian Games, after Beijing in 1990 and Guangzhou in 2010. The Games were originally scheduled to take place from 10 to 25 September 2022, but the event was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic on 6 May due to concerns on travelling to mainland China, amid the potential threat of COVID-19 variants. On 19 July 2022, the new dates were announced to be from 23 September to 8 October 2023. Bidding process The Chinese Olympic Committee confirmed that Hangzhou submitted a bid, and is the only city to declare the candidacy in August 2015. Hangzhou ( or , ; , , Standard Mandarin pronunciation: ), also romanized as Hangchow, is the capital and most populous city of Zhejiang, China. It is located in the northwestern part of the province, sitting at the head of Hangzhou Bay, which separates Shanghai and Ningbo. Deqing County, Zhejiang
() is a county in the prefecture-level city of Huzhou, in the northwest of Zhejiang province. As of 2020 census, its population was 548,568 all living in the built-up (or metro) area. Deqing is very close to Hangzhou and Shaoxing, so it is becoming de facto a suburb of the two cities. It is being conurbated soon and even a Metro Line is planned in the middle term to link both cities. Esports at the 2022 Asian Games were held at the China Hangzhou Esports Center in Hangzhou, China from 24 September to 2 October 2023. This was the first edition of the Asian Games that featured esports as a medal event, after debuting as a demonstration sport in 2018 Asian Games, 2018, and the second major multi-sport event to do so after the SEA Games since 2019 SEA Games, 2019. A qualification tournament called ''Asian Esports Federation, AESF Road to Asian Games 2022'' was played in Macau, China from June 15 to July 15 for all titles featured. The results of this tournament were also used to determine the countries' seedings for the upcoming Games, with no participants being eliminated through this event. Huzhou (, ; Huzhounese: ''ghou² cieu¹'') is a prefecture-level city in northern Zhejiang province (Hangzhou–Jiaxing–Huzhou Plain, China). Wenzhou (pronounced ; Wenzhounese: Yuziou y33–11 tɕiɤu33–32 ), historically known as Wenchow is a prefecture-level city in southeastern Zhejiang province in the People's Republic of China.
