Toby Lewis is a British professional poker player from Hampshire, England. He has one European Poker Tour title and $4.3m in live tournament cashes including a win at EPT London in a £1,000 side event. Poker career Lewis began playing online poker on Pokerstars under the screen name "810ofclubs," later moving on to live games. He had some success on the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour and made a runner-up finish at PKR Live 2009 before making his biggest score to date at EPT Vilamoura. In February 2013, Lewis finished 6th in the L.A Poker Classic for $194,000. EPT Victory In 2010, Lewis won the record-breaking European Poker Tour event in Vilamoura, Portugal. The European Poker Tour (EPT) is a series of poker tournaments similar to those in the World Poker Tour (WPT), created by John Duthie, winner of the inaugural Poker Million tournament. It began in 2004 as part of the worldwide explosion in Texas Hold 'em popularity. Since 2011 the EPT has been sponsored and wholly owned and controlled by PokerStars the online casino and taped by Sunset + Vine for television broadcast across Europe. In seasons 1-3, the most significant difference between the competing poker tours was the buy-in and its effect on the prize pool, with the EPT featuring buy-ins about half the size of the WPT. Vilamoura
Vilamoura is a coastal resort in the Loulé municipality in Algarve, Portugal. It is one of the three corners of Algarve's Golden Triangle. Vilamoura comprises one of the largest single tourist complexes in Europe and with about 2,000 hectares of land. The nearest airport is in Faro. Sam Trickett (born 2 July 1986 in East Retford, Nottinghamshire, England) is an English professional poker player. He is best known for finishing second, losing heads-up to Antonio Esfandiari in the Big One for One Drop - winning over $10 million in prize money. He is currently the twelfth-highest earner in tournament play of all time. Career Trickett started playing poker in 2005 after suffering a knee injury that ended his career as a professional footballer. He soon became a regular in poker events in Sheffield. Edward Paul "Teddy" Sheringham, MBE (born 2 April 1966) is an English football manager and former player. He played as a forward, mostly as a second striker, in a 24-year professional career. The Australian Poker Championship, commonly known as Aussie Millions, is a series of poker tournaments held at the Crown Casino, in Melbourne, Australia. The Main Event of the series is the Southern Hemisphere's richest poker tournament with a prize pool in excess of 7 million.
