The Voice Of Germany (season 10)
The tenth season, also known as the anniversary season of the talent show ''The Voice of Germany'' premiered on October 8, 2020 on ProSieben and on October 11, 2020 on Sat.1. Mark Forster returned as coach for his fourth season and Rea Garvey returned for his sixth season, but this time paired up as a duo with Samu Haber, who returned for his fifth season; Haber last coached in the seventh season. Yvonne Catterfeld and Stefanie Kloß, who last coached in the eighth season and in the fifth season, respectively, returned as coaches and as a duo. In the last season Nico Santos was featured as an off-screen fifth coach for ''Comeback Stage'' contestants; this season he returned as a main coach in the red chair. The role of fifth coach belonged to Michael Schulte, who selected contestants to participate in ''The Voice: Comeback Stage by SEAT''. Thore Schölermann returned for his ninth season as host. Thore Schölermann
Thore Schölermann (born 26 September 1984 in Iserlohn, North Rhine-Westphalia) is a German actor and television host. Career After graduation in 2004 he trained to be a professional actor at Palma de Mallorca, Spain. He then took part in a few short movies. He had lead roles in ''The Typewriter'', directed by FM Croissant in 2004, followed by '' Unscrewed 2'', directed by Florian Huber in 2005 and ''Butterfly Child'', directed by Daniel Schmidt in 2006 In 2006, Schölermann took the part of Christian Mann in the soap opera ''Verbotene Liebe''. After being cast in August, he first appeared on-screen on 27 November 2006. The role brought him international fame when Christian was paired with Oliver Sabel, played by Jo Weil. Doug Adkins
Douglas Martin Adkins (born October 3, 1963) is an Americana/country musician and songwriter who grew up in Montana, United States. In 2020 Adkins chose Samu Haber and Rea Garvey, the coaches from Team Samu Rea for the anniversary of ''The Voice of Germany'' (season 10). For the blind audition, Adkins sang the classic country hit "Achy Breaky Heart" by Billy Ray Cyrus. Coach Mark Forster also turned around for Adkins, but in the end Adkins chose Haber and Garvey due to the country music elements they have in their songwriting. In the Battles, Adkins sang against newcomer Claudia Pahl from Tirol, Austria. Together they performed the Billie Eilish hit " Ocean Eyes". The duet performed the song in a country music style, which garnered worldwide attention and hundreds of thousands of views on ''The Voice of Germany'' website. 2020 Coronavirus Pandemic In Germany
The COVID-19 pandemic in Germany has resulted in confirmed cases of COVID-19 and deaths. On 27 January 2020, the first case in Germany was confirmed near Munich, Bavaria.
