Teofimo Lopez
Teófimo Andrés López Rivera (born July 30, 1997) is an American professional boxer. He has held multiple world championships in two weight classes, including the World Boxing Organization (WBO) and ''Ring'' magazine light welterweight titles since June 2023; previously he held the unified World Boxing Association (WBA) ( Super version), International Boxing Federation (IBF), WBO, and ''Ring'' lightweight titles between 2019 and 2021. Lopez has also held the lineal championship at lightweight and light welterweight. As an amateur, he represented Honduras at the 2016 Summer Olympics. The Transnational Boxing Rankings Board (TBRB) is an all-volunteer initiative formed in October 2012 with the intention of providing professional boxing with authoritative top-ten rankings, identifying the singular world champion of every division by unbiased reasoning and common sense, and to insist on the sport's reform. Amateur Boxing
Amateur boxing is a variant of boxing practiced at the collegiate level, at the Olympic Games, Pan American Games and Commonwealth Games, as well as many associations. Amateur boxing bouts are short in duration, comprising three rounds of three minutes in men, and four rounds of two minutes in women, each with a one-minute interval between rounds. Men's senior bouts changed in format from four two-minute rounds to three three-minute rounds on January 1, 2009.
