Tallah
Tallah is an American nu metal band from Pennsylvania. They are currently signed to Earache Records. History Formation and ''No One Should Read This'' (2017-2020) Founded in 2017, Tallah was formed by drummer Max Portnoy, who asked guitarist Derrick Schneider and bassist Andrew Cooper to join his new project. They picked up two other rhythm guitarists, AJ Wisniewski and Nick Malfara, and tried out a couple of different vocalists, but they were not what Max was looking for. Portnoy knew of future singer Justin Bonitz through Bonitz's YouTube channels, Hungry Lights and Hungry Covers, so he asked his father, Mike Portnoy, to contact Bonitz, and Justin joined the band on January 1, 2018. At the end of 2017, the band had already recorded instrumental demos for their EP '' No One Should Read This'' and within a week Bonitz had written lyrics and self-recorded vocals for each track. Mike Portnoy
Michael Stephen Portnoy (born April 20, 1967) is an American musician who is primarily known as the former drummer, backing vocalist, and co-founder of the progressive metal band Dream Theater. In September 2010, Portnoy announced his departure from Dream Theater after 25 years, with Mike Mangini taking his place as drummer of the band. Since his departure Portnoy has remained active, with a variety of bands and projects, including Adrenaline Mob, Transatlantic, Yellow Matter Custard, Flying Colors, The Winery Dogs, Liquid Tension Experiment, Metal Allegiance, Sons of Apollo, the Neal Morse Band and BPMD. Doll Skin were an American rock music, rock band from Phoenix, Arizona, United States. The band's final lineup was made up of Syd Dolezal (They/Them) (lead vocals/rhythm guitar). Former members of the band are Nicole Rich (bass/backing vocals), Alex Snowden (lead guitar/backing vocals), and Meghan Herring (drums/backing vocals). The original band members met at School of Rock Scottsdale. Their sound is a blend of punk, metal, alternative, and pop. Earache Records is a British independent record label, music publisher and management company founded by Digby Pearson in 1985, based in Nottingham, England, with offices in London and New York. The label helped to pioneer extreme metal by releasing early grindcore and death metal records between the late 1980s and mid-1990s. Its roster has since diversified into more mainstream guitar music, working with bands such as Rival Sons, the Temperance Movement, Blackberry Smoke, Scarlet Rebels and the White Buffalo. The company also hosted the 'Earache Express' stage at Glastonbury Festival in 2017 and 'The Earache Factory' at Boomtown 2018. Chelsea Grin is an American deathcore band from Salt Lake City, Utah. Formed in 2007, the group have released two EPs and five full-length albums. Since 2018, no original members remain in the band. Chelsea Grin was originally founded under the name ''Ahaziah''. The lineup for Ahaziah included vocalist Alex Koehler, guitarist Chris Kilbourn, bassist Austin Marticorena and lead guitarist Michael Stafford. Marticorena introduced Andrew Carlston to Chelsea Grin and assisted in rewriting their songs as well as the creation of new material as they changed the name to Chelsea Grin soon after. This writing process lead to the tracks on their first release, a self-titled EP that was streamed and released online through iTunes, then released on CD worldwide on July 27, 2008.
