Chelsea Grin
Chelsea Grin is an American deathcore band from Salt Lake City, Utah. Formed in 2007, the group have released two EPs and five full-length albums. Since 2018, no original members remain in the band. Chelsea Grin was originally founded under the name ''Ahaziah''. The lineup for Ahaziah included vocalist Alex Koehler, guitarist Chris Kilbourn, bassist Austin Marticorena and lead guitarist Michael Stafford. Marticorena introduced Andrew Carlston to Chelsea Grin and assisted in rewriting their songs as well as the creation of new material as they changed the name to Chelsea Grin soon after. This writing process lead to the tracks on their first release, a self-titled EP that was streamed and released online through iTunes, then released on CD worldwide on July 27, 2008. Early on in the band's career, they released the songs "Crewcabanger" and "Lifeless" as singles, both of which were received well by listening audiences on Myspace. Ashes To Ashes (Chelsea Grin Album)
''Ashes to Ashes'' is the third studio album by American deathcore band Chelsea Grin released on July 8, 2014 via Artery and Razor & Tie. It is also the debut of drummer Pablo Viveros. The album also saw the debut of Viveros' co-vocals, allowing lead vocalist Alex Koehler to focus solely on high ranged screams while Viveros took on the mid to low ranged vocals. Style AllMusic described the sound of the album as deathcore and on some songs metalcore relating it to that of their previous two studio albums. Release '' Ashes to Ashes'' was released on July 8, 2014 by Artery Recordings. Reception AllMusic gave the album three and a half stars out of five, noting that "Chelsea Grin marry their punishing breakdowns with some pretty dazzling guitar work, showing that there's more to their sound than just smashing the listener into oblivion." Eternal Nightmare (Chelsea Grin Album)
''Eternal Nightmare'' is the fifth studio album by American deathcore band Chelsea Grin. It was released on July 13, 2018. It is the first album from the band without either frontman Alex Koehler and guitarists Jacob Harmond and Dan Jones. The departure of the three also makes this release the first to not feature any founding members. It is also the first album that Chelsea Grin has recorded as a four-piece band, with ex-Lorna Shore vocalist Tom Barber joining the band on vocal duties. On April 27, 2018, Koehler confirmed this as well as his new solo act, Grudges, and Chelsea Grin released the lead single from the album, named "Dead Rose". ''My Damnation'' is the second studio album by American deathcore band Chelsea Grin. The band entered the studio early 2011 and finished near the middle of the year. The title track was released as a single on April 17, 2011. ''My Damnation'' was released on July 19, 2011 through Artery Recordings. Theme and musical style The album's lyrics reference Hell and eternal damnation, which are portrayed afterlife, after death. Musically, the album features many more guitar solos than that of previous releases. Upon its release, the album reached 21 on the Top Heatseekers chart. ''Desolation of Eden''at Billboard ''Desolation of Eden'' features two re-recordings of the songs "Cheyne Stokes" and "Recreant" which were originally on the band's self-titled EP. Arsonists Get All the Girls was an American avant-garde metal band from Santa Cruz, California. Founded in 2005, the band was known for taking influence from varying genres, particularly in their early years for fusing extreme metal with various electronic music styles. The Artery Foundation is a full-service management company based in California and founded in 2004. The Artery Foundation finds, represents, supports and manages various entertainment artists. The Artery Foundation hosts its own North American tour Artery Foundation Across the Nation Tour, which started in 2008 and has since then expanded to Europe. The tour is often held in the springtime. Timothy Peter Lambesis (born November 21, 1980) is an American musician and producer, best known as the founding member and lead vocalist of American metalcore band As I Lay Dying (band), As I Lay Dying. He also had a solo/side thrash metal project in tribute to actor Arnold Schwarzenegger, Austrian Death Machine, in which he performed all the instruments. He also formed a death metal band called Pyrithion and played guitar for Society's Finest and Point of Recognition. Lambesis was arrested in 2013 after attempting to hire an undercover police officer to murder his wife. He pled guilty in 2014 and was sentenced to serve six years in prison. Razor & Tie was an American entertainment company that consisted of a record label and a music publishing company. It was established in 1990 by Craig Balsam and Cliff Chenfeld.
