Sedam Springhouse
The Sedam Springhouse is located on Delhi Pike near the intersection with Mayhew Avenue, in Delhi Township, Hamilton County, Ohio, United States, just west of Cincinnati. The structure has been preserving perishables and watering plants and people for more than two centuries. This historic building is thought to have been built in the 1790s; it was once owned by Col. Cornelius Sedam and was built over a spring that spews a stream of water out of the hillside. In 2005, the Ohio Historical Society Ohio History Connection, formerly The Ohio State Archaeological and Historical Society and Ohio Historical Society, is a nonprofit organization incorporated in 1885. Delhi Township, Ohio
Delhi Township ˆdÉ›l.haɪis one of the twelve townships of Hamilton County, Ohio, United States. The 2010 census found 29,510 people in the township. It is the only Delhi Township statewide. History The area of modern-day Delhi Township was first settled by Americans in 1789, along with the founding of the village of South Bend. Delhi was then incorporated as a township in 1816. The name is pronounced "DEL-high", as opposed to how its namesake in India is pronounced "Dell-Hee". Sedam Springhouse The Sedam Springhouse, which may date back to the 1790s, is one of the oldest buildings in the township.
