Suzzanna Martha Frederika van Osch (13 October 1942 – 15 October 2008), was an Indonesian actress. Known as the "queen of Indonesian horror", she is well known in particular in Indonesia for portraying spirits, witches, and other supernatural beings. She was crowned the best female antagonist in Indonesian film industry along with Ruth Pelupessy and Mieke Wijaya. Biography Suzzanna, who was an Indo of Javanese-Manado-German-Dutch heritage, was born Suzzanna Martha Frederica Van Osch on 13 October 1942 in Buitenzorg (now Bogor), West Java, as the youngest child from the six children to Willem Van Osch (1908–1942) and Johanna Bojoh (1915–1996). Indonesian horror are the films of the horror genre produced by the Indonesian film industry. Often inspired by local folklore, Indonesian horror films have been produced in the country since the 1960s. Mieke Wijaya (born Miecke Marie De Rijder; 17 March 1940 – 3 May 2022) was an Indonesian actress, model, and politician who won three Citra Awards. She was crowned the best female antagonist in Indonesian film industry along with Suzzanna and Ruth Pelupessy. Usmar Ismail (20 March 1921 – 2 January 1971) was an Indonesian film director, author, journalist and revolutionary of Minangkabau descent. He was widely regarded as the native Indonesian pioneer of the cinema of Indonesia. Biography Ismail was born in 1921 in Bukittinggi, West Sumatra.
