Leonardus Benjamin Moerdani
General (Ret.) Leonardus Benjamin Moerdani (also publicly known as LB Moerdani or Benny Moerdani and in foreign media as Murdani; 2 October 1932 – 29 August 2004) was the ABRI Commander from 1983 to 1988 and also served as Indonesia's Minister of Defense and Security. He is famous due to his strong stance in many decisive situations in Indonesian political and social life. He was also significant as a leader who was Catholic in a predominantly Muslim community. Harun Zain
Harun Al Rasyid Zain, also known as Datuk Sinaro (Jawi alphabet, Jawi: ; 1 March 192719 October 2014), was an Indonesian teacher, economist and bureaucrat. He served as the Minister of Manpower and Transmigration in the Third Development Cabinet and for two periods (1967-1977) he was the governor of West Sumatra. He was also a Rector of the Andalas University in Padang, Indonesia. Personal life Harun Zain is the sixth child of seven brothers from Sutan Muhammad Zain, a Pariangan-birth professor and a prominent language expert. He was born in Jakarta. His childhood was spent in large cities in Java such as Bandung, Batavia, Dutch East Indies, Batavia (now Jakarta), Yogyakarta and Surabaya as he follows his father who served as a teacher. Achmad Arnold Baramuli (20 July 1930 – 11 October 2006) was an Indonesian prosecutor, politician and businessman. His highest position was chairman of the Supreme Advisory Council over 1998 to 1999 under President B.J. Habibie. Maraden Saur Halomoan Panggabean (June 29, 1922 – May 28, 2000) or more commonly known as Maraden Panggabean was a prominent Indonesian general during the early years of General Suharto's New Order regime. Early life Panggabean was born in Tarutung, North Sumatra, on 29 June 1922. He is from the Batak ethnic group. After completing his education, Panggabean took on work as a teacher, an occupation held in high regard in the Batak community, and even became the principal of a school in Tarutung. The New Order ( id, Orde Baru, abbreviated ''Orba'') is the term coined by the second Indonesian President Suharto to characterise his administration as he came to power in Transition to the New Order, 1966 until his Fall of Suharto, resignation in 1998. Suharto used this term to contrast his presidency with that of his predecessor Sukarno (retroactively dubbed the "Old Order," or ''Orde Lama''). Cosmas Batubara
Cosmas Batubara (19 September 1938 – 8 August 2019) was an Indonesian politician. He was chairman and the co-founder of KAMI (Indonesia), KAMI, an Indonesian anti-communist student group. He was one of the strongest proponents for the banning of the Communist Party of Indonesia and the arrest of fifteen ministers, including Subandrio. Batubara was a parliament member in 1967–1978. He was appointed the Junior Minister of Housing in Suharto's Third Development Cabinet in 1978 and the State Minister of Housing in the 1983 Fourth Development Cabinet.
