Sportscraft
Sportscraft is an Australian women's and men's clothing brand sold through department stores and over 20 of its own branded outlets. It began with the 'Sportsleigh' manufacturing company, that grew from the tailoring business founded by Russian Jewish immigrant Wolf Bardas in Melbourne in 1914. In 1947 the business branched into retail with the first Sportsleigh stores opened in Collins Street, Melbourne, Collins Street and Toorak, Victoria, Toorak Road, Melbourne. The name was changed to 'Sportscraft' in 1948. The name reflected a focus on tailored casual wear, predominantly jodhpurs, slacks, pleated skirts and shirts. Innovative marketing under the leadership of Morris Bardas resonated with women in post-war Australia and became a respected and iconic brand. JAG (clothing)
JAG is an Australian women's and men's clothing brand sold throughout Australia, including freestanding, concession stores, and online. JAG was founded in 1972 on Chapel Street in Melbourne by Adele Palmer. Following the jeans boom of the '70s, JAG was the first Australia Jeans brand to launch in the US market in 1978. JAG developed a star-studded following including Mick Jagger, Mick Jaggar, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Jackie Onassis, Steve McQueen and Frank Sinatra. In 2001 the Colorado Group Limited, Colorado Group purchased JAG and relaunched the brand with the Elizabeth Jagger, Elizabeth Jaggar campaign in 2002. Collins Street is a major street in the central business district of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. SABA is an Australian fashion brand created by Joe Saba in 1965. The brand began as The Joseph SABA Shirt Shop on Flinders Lane in Melbourne.
