Solheim is a small village in Gloppen Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. The village lies on the western shore of the large lake Eimhjellevatnet, about southwest of the village of Straume in the Hyen area. It takes about 40 minutes to drive from Solheim to the nearby towns of Førde (to the south) and Florø (to the west). The village of Eimhjellen lies about almost straight east of Solheim, across the lake. There are a lot of fish in the lake, especially trout. Eimhjellevatnet or Emhjellevatnet (also known as ''Storfjorden'') is a lake in Hyen area of Gloppen Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. The lake is located in the western part of the municipality near the border with Kinn Municipality. The villages of Eimhjellen and Solheim can be found along its shore and the village of Straume lies about to the north. The lake lies about southwest of the municipal center of Sandane. Florø
is a town and the administrative centre of the municipality of Kinn, Vestland, Norway. The town was founded by royal decree in 1860 as a ladested on the island of Florelandet, located between the Botnafjorden and Solheimsfjorden. Førde is the administrative centre of Sunnfjord Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. The town is located at the eastern end of the Førdefjorden, at the mouth of the river Jølstra. The town has a population (2019) of 10,339 and a population density of . The town of Førde is an important commercial, industrial, and government center for the area. The Øyrane area in the center of the town, along the harbor is the regional center for industry. The town also has the local primary and secondary schools, as well as a folk high school.
