Eimhjellevatnet
Eimhjellevatnet or Emhjellevatnet (also known as ''Storfjorden'') is a lake in Hyen area of Gloppen Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. The lake is located in the western part of the municipality near the border with Kinn Municipality. The villages of Eimhjellen and Solheim can be found along its shore and the village of Straume lies about to the north. The lake lies about southwest of the municipal center of Sandane. It is the second largest lake in all of Gloppen municipality (after Breimsvatn) and it has a good population of trout for fishing. Hyen
Straume or Hyen is a village in Gloppen Municipality in Vestland, Norway. The village lies near the southern end of the Hyefjorden near the mouths of the rivers Åelva and Hopelva. Straume is located about northeast of the lake Eimhjellevatnet, where the villages of Eimhjellen and Solheim, Sogn og Fjordane, Solheim are located. Hyen Church is located in Straume, serving the whole western part of Gloppen municipality. There are around 600 people living in the Hyen area. The village lies along Norwegian County Road 615 which connects the whole Hyen valley to the municipal center of Sandane to the east and to the village of Eikefjord (village), Eikefjord (in Flora Municipality) to the west. Solheim is a small village in Gloppen Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. The village lies on the western shore of the large lake Eimhjellevatnet, about southwest of the village of Straume in the Hyen area. It takes about 40 minutes to drive from Solheim to the nearby towns of Førde (to the south) and Florø (to the west). Gloppen Municipality
Gloppen is a municipality in the county of Vestland, Norway. It is located in the traditional district of Nordfjord. Gloppen is generally subdivided into three areas: Hyen in the west, Gloppen in the center, and Breim in the east. Each of the areas have their own main service centres. Sandane, the administrative centre of the municipality, is the largest with about 2,500 inhabitants. Sandane, Vereide, and Sørstranda are centered on the Gloppefjorden in Gloppen in the central part of the municipality. Kinn is a municipality in Vestland county, Norway. It was established on 1 January 2020. It is in the traditional districts of Nordfjord and Sunnfjord. The municipality is the only non-contiguous municipality in Norway since the municipality of Bremanger lies in between the north and south parts of Kinn.
