Royal Christmas Gala was a co-headlining concert tour by Sarah Brightman, Gregorian, Mario Frangoulis, Narcis Iustin Ianău, and Fernando Varela, The tour began on 20 November 2017, in Aalborg, Denmark, and concluded on 23 December that year, in Vienna, Austria, two days before Christmas. The tour consisted of a total 23 dates, including Brightman's first visit to Poland, and centered around the festive season. Sarah Brightman
Sarah Brightman (born 14 August 1960) is an English classical crossover soprano singer, actress and dancer. Brightman began her career as a member of the dance troupe Hot Gossip and released several disco singles as a solo performer. In 1981, she made her West End musical theatre debut in ''Cats'' and met composer Andrew Lloyd Webber, whom she later married. She went on to star in several West End and Broadway musicals, including ''The Phantom of the Opera'', where she originated the role of Christine Daaé. Her original London cast album of ''Phantom'' was released in CD format in 1987 and sold 40 million copies worldwide, making it the biggest-selling cast album ever. Helsinki Halli (formerly Hartwall Arena) is a large multi-functional indoor arena located in Helsinki, Finland. It was opened in April 1997. The arena is convertible for various events. The total seated capacity during ice hockey games is 13,349 (about 14,000 for basketball, for concerts up to 15,000) and as an amphitheatre, it is significantly reduced to between 3,000 to 5,000. The Russian-owned arena has been unused since March 2022 due to EU sanctions related to the Russian invasion of Ukraine. "Amazing Grace" is a Christian hymn published in 1779 with words written in 1772 by English Anglican clergyman and poet John Newton (1725–1807).
