PTV Network Development Plan
The Network Development Plan Metropolitan Rail is a long-term development plan for the rail network of Melbourne, Australia. It was carried out by Public Transport Victoria (PTV) and released to the public on 27 March 2013 however, a revised version was leaked in 2019 making a few changes to the plan. The plan will eventually affect metropolitan and regional rail, trams and buses. However, only the metropolitan rail aspect of the plan has been finalised and released to the public from PTV. The Regional Network Development Plan however was passed onto the government department Transport for Victoria, and which then was released in 2016. The primary aim of the metro rail plan is to improve the efficiency, reliability and patronage of Melbourne's train network. Pakenham Railway Line
The Pakenham line is a commuter railway line in the city of Melbourne, Victoria. Operated by Metro Trains Melbourne, it is the longest metropolitan railway line at 57 km (35.42 mi). Coloured light blue on the Melbourne rail map, the line runs from Flinders Street station in central Melbourne to Pakenham station in the south-east, serving 27 stations via the City Loop, South Yarra, Caulfield, Oakleigh, and Dandenong. The line operates for ~20 hours a day (from approximately 4:00 am to around midnight) with 24 hour service available on Friday nights and weekends. During peak hour, headways of up to 6 to 12 minutes are operated with services every 20 minutes during off-peak hours. Trains on the Pakenham line run with a seven-car formation operated by HCMTs. Lynbrook, Victoria
Lynbrook is a suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 36 km south-east of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the City of Casey local government area. Lynbrook recorded a population of 9,121 at the 2021 census. Lynbrook is positioned on the South Gippsland Highway, slightly north-west of Cranbourne, and just south of the residential suburb of Hampton Park. Lynbrook is bounded by Dandenong Hastings Road in the west, the South Gippsland Freeway in the north, by a line north of Merinda Park railway station in the east, and the railway line in the south. Lynbrook railway station is located on the Cranbourne line in Victoria, Australia. It serves the south-eastern Melbourne suburb of Lynbrook, and opened on 22 April 2012. History Announced as part of the ''Victorian Transport Plan'' in 2008, the project was re-announced as part of the Victorian Government's ''2010/11 State Budget''. On 9 October 2010, construction works for the station officially commenced, when the then Minister for Public Transport, Martin Pakula, turned the first sod at the site. Completion was expected in 2011 but, due to underbudgeting for the electricity connection to the station, the project stalled, delaying the completion. Cranbourne Railway Line
The Cranbourne line is a commuter rail service operated by Metro Trains Melbourne in the south-eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. It operates along the inner section of the former South Gippsland line. The service is part of the Public Transport Victoria metropolitan train network. Southland Railway Station

The Frankston railway line is a 42.7 km commuter rail passenger train service in Melbourne, Victoria. Point Cook is a suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, south-west of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the City of Wyndham local government area.
