Lynbrook Railway Station
Lynbrook railway station is located on the Cranbourne line in Victoria, Australia. It serves the south-eastern Melbourne suburb of Lynbrook, and opened on 22 April 2012. History Announced as part of the ''Victorian Transport Plan'' in 2008, the project was re-announced as part of the Victorian Government's ''2010/11 State Budget''. On 9 October 2010, construction works for the station officially commenced, when the then Minister for Public Transport, Martin Pakula, turned the first sod at the site. Completion was expected in 2011 but, due to underbudgeting for the electricity connection to the station, the project stalled, delaying the completion. Public Transport Victoria (PTV) is the brand name for public transport in the Australian state of Victoria, Australia, Victoria. It was the trading name of the Go Public Transport Development Authority (PTDA), a now-defunct statutory authority in Victoria, responsible for providing, coordinating, and promoting public transport. The PTV began operating on 2 April 2012, taking over many of the responsibilities previously exercised by the Director of Public Transport and the Department of Transport (Victoria, 2008–13), Department of Transport. Eumemmerring Creek
Eumemmerring Creek is an urban creek of the Port Phillip catchment, located in the southeastern Greater Melbourne region of the Australian east coast state of Victoria. It joins the Dandenong Creek (of which it can be considered a tributary) to form the partly man-made Patterson River, which in turn drains into Beaumaris Bay. Course The creek's headwaters originate in the Dandenong Ranges as various small streams and springs from the hills between Mt. Morton (a small peak just west of Belgrave South) and Lysterfield Park. The formed stream first flows southwards along the western fringe of Narre Warren East, before picking up a number of highly modified drains and turns southwesterly at the northern end of Narre Warren North. A side platform (also known as a marginal platform or a single-face platform) is a platform positioned to the side of one or more railway tracks or guideways at a railway station, tram stop, or transitway. Martin Philip Pakula (born 7 January 1969) is a former Australian politician. He has been a Labor Party member of the Parliament of Victoria since 2006: in the Legislative Council for Western Metropolitan Region from 2006 to 2010, and then in the Legislative Assembly for Lyndhurst (2013–2014) and Keysborough (2014–2022). The Australian Railway Historical Society (ARHS) aims to foster an interest in the railways, and record and preserve many facets of railway operations. It had divisions in every state and the Australian Capital Territory, although the ACT division was wound up in 2016, along with the Victorian division in 2020. Since 1967, when each division incorporated, the state divisions have operated as separate entities. Victorian Transport Plan
The Victorian Transport Plan is a now defunct transport planning framework for the state of Victoria, Australia announced on 9 December 2008 by then Premier of Victoria, John Brumby. The plan was submitted to the Government of Australia for funding approval. It was prepared in response to and largely centred on solutions to urban transport problems in Victoria's capital Melbourne, particularly alleviating growing traffic congestion and passenger congestion on public transport (trains) as a result of a 100% increase in public transport patronage during the 2000s (decade).
