Prag Cine Awards 2014
The Prag Cine Awards 2014 ceremony, presented by the Prag Network, honored the actors, technical achievements, and films censored in 2013 from Assam and took place on March 22, 2014, at the Koramangala Indoor Stadium in Bangalore, India. Actors duos Kopil Bora and Zerifa Wahid hosted the show. Veteran litterateur Arun Sharma, Kannada film directorNagathihalli Chandrashekhar and Bollywood film actress Mahima Chaudhary inaugurated the event. Actor Mridula Barua was honoured with the lifetime Achievement Award for her contribution towards the Assamese film Industry. Actor Adil Hussain received best actor award for '' Raag'' and the best actress award has gone to Jaya Seal Ghose for ''Sringkhal''. Jahnu Barua directed '' Ajeyo'' won the best film award. Dhrubajyoti Phukan ( as, ধ্ৰুৱজ্যোতি ফুকন) is a National Film Award winning musician who has worked as a Music Producer, Music Arranger and Music Programmer in Hindi Films. Anurag Saikia
Anurag Saikia (born in December 1988) is an Indian film score composer , music director , music producer and instrumentalist from Assam, India. He is one of the youngest composers to be awarded with Rajat Kamal for Best Non-Feature Film Music Direction for the film Yugadrashta. His mother Dipali Saikia, is an All India Radio artist and teacher and his father Dr. Anil Saikia is an academician, who was conferred the ''Pratima Barua Pandey memorial Award'' on 27 December 2011 for his contributions towards the preservation and popularization of folk culture and music of the State of Assam. Kenny Basumatary
Kenny Deori Basumatary is an Indian actor and film director in Assamese films. He is best known for Directing the Assamese martial arts comedy film Local Kung Fu he also starred in the movie. It was nominated for best Assamese film in the inaugural Filmfare awards for the Eastern region. The budget for this film was Rs.95,000. Early life Kenny dropped out of college while pursuing Computer Engineering in IIT Delhi. After that, he worked as a newsreader for an Assamese News channel. Rajni Basumatary is an Indian filmmaker and actress, best known for her role of Mary Kom's mother (Mangte Akham Kom) in the 2014 Hindi film ''Mary Kom''.
