Poá (CPTM)
Poá is a train station on CPTM Line 11-Coral, located in the city of Poá. History With the opening of North Railway in mid-1875, supply posts were created between the stations. One of them was in Poá, then district of Mogi das Cruzes. Only on 1 March 1891 a new building was constructed and the post was promoted to station. With Poá growth, the station existing there was expanded in the 1920s. The construction of the current station started in 1985 by CBTU. Harmed by financial problems, the building of the new building were concluded only in 1989. On 1 June 1994, CBTU stations and lines were transferred to CPTM. Since them, the station belongs to this company. Project On 29 January 2005, CPTM launched the concurrence no. 8379402011, aiming the modernization/reconstruction of 12 stations divided in 6 allotments of 2 station. Side Platform
A side platform (also known as a marginal platform or a single-face platform) is a platform positioned to the side of one or more railway tracks or guideways at a railway station, tram stop, or transitway. A station having dual side platforms, one for each direction of travel, is the basic design used for double-track railway lines (as opposed to, for instance, the island platform where a single platform lies between the tracks). Ferraz de Vasconcelos is a train station on CPTM Line 11-Coral, located in the city of Ferraz de Vasconcelos. History The station was built by Santa Branca Farm, owner of Romanópolis company and delivered to Estrada de Ferro Central do Brasil (EFCB) on 29 July 1926. It was named Ferraz de Vasconcelos after José Ferraz de Vasconcellos, chief of 2nd Traffic District of EFCB, who died in 1924. Calmon Viana is a train station on CPTM Lines Line 11-Coral and 12-Sapphire, located in Calmon Viana, district of Poá. Poá
Poá is a municipality in the state of São Paulo in Brazil. The water extracted from ''Fonte Áurea'', or the Golden Fountain, is sold throughout Brazil. The population is 118,349 (2020 est.) in an area of 17.26 km². General appearance Poá is one of eleven municipalities considered spa towns (Estancia Hidromineral) by the state of São Paulo, by fulfilling certain prerequisites set by state law. This status ensures that these municipalities more money from the state to promote regional tourism and beyond that the city acquired the right to add the title "Estancia Hidromineral" to its name, term by which is designated by both the municipal expedient as the official state references.
