Petra Ritter
Petra Schwarz (née Ritter; born 24 May 1972) is a former female professional tennis player from Austria, active from 1987 to 1997. She reached the quarterfinals of the French Open in 1994, beating Lisa Raymond, Nathalie Tauziat, Miriam Oremans and Ruxandra Dragomir, before losing to Mary Pierce. It was the only time she passed the second round of a Grand Slam event. Schwarz reached one WTA Tour final at the Ilva Trophy event in Italy. Nathalie Tauziat (born 17 October 1967) is a French former professional tennis player. She was the runner-up in women's singles at the 1998 Wimbledon Championships and runner-up in the women's doubles at the 2001 US Open partnering Kimberly Po-Messerli. She reached a career-high ranking of world No. 3 in both singles and doubles. She currently coaches her countrywoman Harmony Tan and Canadian tennis player Bianca Andreescu. Early life Tauziat was born in Bangui, Central African Republic, where she lived for the first eight years of her life. She is a first cousin of Didier Deschamps, former captain and current manager of the French football team. Sabine Appelmans (born 22 April 1972) is a former professional tennis player from Belgium. She was Belgium's Fed Cup captain from 2007 until 2011. Career Appelmans started playing at the neighbour's court at the age of seven. Her first trainer, Fred Debruyn, saw immediately that she was very talented. Although right-handed, she played left-handed; at a children's tennis training session she claimed to be left-handed so she could stay with her friend in the left-handed group. Laura Lapi (born 10 September 1970) is a former professional tennis player from Italy. Biography As a junior, Lapi was runner-up to Natalia Zvereva in the 1987 Orange Bowl and was also a girls' doubles finalist at the 1988 US Open. Lapi was a member of the Italy Fed Cup team in the 1988 competition. She won her first match, over Poland's Magdalena Feistel, to help Italy win the tie.
