Tennis
Tennis is a racket sport that is played either individually against a single opponent ( singles) or between two teams of two players each ( doubles). Each player uses a tennis racket that is strung with cord to strike a hollow rubber ball covered with felt over or around a net and into the opponent's court. Paulette Moreno Hjorth (born 12 March 1969) is a former professional tennis player from Hong Kong. Biography Moreno was a national champion in Hong Kong at the age of 13 in 1982. She made her debut for the Hong Kong Fed Cup team in 1985 and won a doubles match against West Germany that year. Another of her doubles wins came against Sweden in 1987, when she and Patricia Hy teamed up to claim the deciding rubber 9–7 in the third set. As a junior she was a finalist in the girls' doubles at the 1987 Wimbledon Championships, where she and Korean Kim Il-Soon lost to Natalia Medvedeva and Natasha Zvereva. Heidi Sprung
Heidi Sprung Vasudevan (born 10 January 1969) is a former professional tennis player from Austria. Biography Sprung, who is originally from Salzburg, played Fed Cup tennis for Austria in 1988. She teamed up with Judith Wiesner to win the deciding doubles rubber over Belgium, setting up a second round tie with the USSR. Against the USSR she beat world number 16 Larisa Savchenko in the singles, but this time lost the live doubles rubber. Judith Wiesner (née Pölzl; born 2 March 1966) is a former professional tennis player from Austria. During her career, she won five top-level singles titles and three tour doubles titles. Her career high rankings were world No. 12 in singles (in 1997), and No. 29 in doubles (in 1989). In 1996, Wiesner was a quarterfinalist at both Wimbledon and the US Open.
