History The business was established by Harold Perry, in 1908, selling motor accessories. Harold Perry formerly worked for the United Kingdom distributor for Ford. Harold Perry was appointed dealer for Ford, for the City of London, in 1912. In 1911, Harold's brother, Sir Percival Perry, had persuaded Henry Ford to launch the Ford Motor Company in the United Kingdom. Percival later became chairman of Ford's company, in the United Kingdom. In 1922, Sir Percival Perry helped André Citroën, to establish commercial and manufacturing subsidiaries, for the early Citroën automobile business in the United Kingdom. Milton Keynes Brass (or ''MK Brass'' for short) is a British-style community brass band based in Milton Keynes, UK. It was founded in 1984 and was known until 2007 as ''Broseley Brass''. This former name derived from that of its original commercial sponsors Broseley estates limited who were house builders active during the early development of Milton Keynes. MK Brass maintains a schedule of concert and contest engagements and has undertaken tours of France and Switzerland. It produced its first CD, "Broseley Bandstand", in 2004. It oversees Motability Operations Ltd, which runs the Motability Scheme intended to enable disabled people, their families and their carers to lease a new car, scooter or powered wheelchair, using their disability benefit.
