Osakarov District
Sarybel District ( kk, Сарыбел ауданы), formerly "Osakarov District", is a district of Karaganda Region in central Kazakhstan. The administrative center of the district is the settlement of Osakarovka. The district had a population of 31,243 as of 2019. Geography Nura District lies to the west. River Ulken Kundyzdy and lake Shybyndy are located in the district.Google Earth History During the industrialization of the Soviet Union in the 1930s, the central regions of the Kazakh SSR developed large coal and metallurgic industries, as well as large collective farms. On December 28, 1940, the Supreme Soviet of the Kazakh SSR passed a decree creating the Osakarov District. At the time of the decree, the newly formed district comprised nearly 40 collective farms and a handful of villages. The Mordvins (also Unified Mordvin people, Mordvinians, Mordovians; russian: мордва, Mordva, Mordvins (no equivalents in Moksha and Erzya)) is an obsolete but official term used in the Russian Federation to refer both to Erzyas and Mokshas since 1928 until the 2010s.
