The National Soccer League was a soccer league in Canada that existed from 1926 to 1997. Teams were primarily based in the provinces of Ontario and Quebec. The league was renamed to Canadian National Soccer League in 1993 following the folding of the Canadian Soccer League, and the accepting of the Winnipeg Fury, making the league more national. In the 1960s, the Canadian National Soccer League was one of four major leagues in Canadian soccer alongside the Pacific Coast League, the Eastern Canada Professional Soccer League and the Western Canada Soccer League. It was replaced by the Canadian Professional Soccer League in 1998, after an agreement between the CNSL and the Ontario Soccer Association. Serbian White Eagles Football Club ( sr, Фудбалски клуб Српски бели орлови / ''Fudbalski klub Srpski beli orlovi'') is a Canadian soccer team. The team is a member of the Canadian Soccer League, an unsanctioned soccer league. The team's home kit is all white commemorating the white double-headed eagle which appears on the Serbian flag while the away colours are red-blue-white commemorating the tricolour of the Serbian flag. Hamilton Croatia is a Croatian Canadian amateur soccer team founded in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada in 1957. It is supported by the Croatian Sports and Community Centre of Hamilton Inc. (formerly the Croatian National Sports Club of Hamilton, Inc.). The team plays in the Hamilton & District Premier Soccer League's Elite Division. Hamilton Steelers (1958–1967)
The Hamilton Steelers were a soccer team in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. The team was known as Hamilton Italo-Canadian Soccer Club from 1958 to 1960 when they played in the National Soccer League, then switched their name to the Steelers in 1961 when they joined the Eastern Canada Professional Soccer League. According to the Hamilton Spectator, the club was "incorporated in 1959 and capitalized at $200,000 with common shares bearing a par value of $1." In 1961, major shareholders were John Agro and Arnold Martini. In November 1964, Primo Polianato took over as the club's major shareholder and subsequently renamed the club Primo Hamilton Soccer Club.
