Northern Norway Line
The Northern Norway Line ( no, Nord-Norgebanen) is a proposed railway which would be built through Northern Norway. Several proposals have been launched; one is to connect from the Nordland Line at Fauske and continue onwards to Narvik, Tromsø and Harstad. The Troms Line ( no, Tromsbanen) is a more limited proposal, which calls for a line between Narvik and Tromsø, but which would not connect to the rest of the railway network in Norway and instead the Swedish railway network via the Ofoten Line. During the Second World War, the German occupation forces started building the Polar Line between Fauske and Narvik, but that was abandoned after the war. 2019 study In 2019 the Norwegian Railway Directorate signed an agreement with Asplan Viak to study the development of a line from Fauske via Narvik to Tromsø. Railway

Nordland Line
The Nordland Line ( no, Nordlandsbanen, ) is a railway line between Trondheim and Bodø, Norway. It is the longest in Norway and lacks electrification. The route runs through the counties of Trøndelag (formerly Sør-Trøndelag and Nord-Trøndelag) and Nordland, carrying a combination of commuter, long-haul passenger and freight trains. From Trondheim Central Station to Steinkjer Station the line is most heavily used, with hourly services by the Trøndelag Commuter Rail. There are three branch lines—the Stavne–Leangen Line at Leangen Station, the Meråker Line at Hell Station and the Namsos Line at Grong Station. or is a municipality located in Nordland county, Norway. It is part of the traditional district of Salten. The administrative centre of the municipality is the town of Fauske. Ofoten Line
The Ofoten Line ( no, Ofotbanen) is a rail transport, railway line in Narvik, Norway. It runs from the Port of Narvik to Riksgränsen on the Norway–Sweden border, where the line continues as the Malmbanan, Ore Line via Kiruna and Gällivare to Luleå. The Ofoten Line is single track (rail), single track, electrified at and has seven stations. The line only connects to the rest of the rail transport in Norway, Norwegian railway network via Sweden. Polar Line
The Polar Line ( no, Polarbanen, german: Polarbahn) is an incomplete and abandoned railway line in Norway, from Fauske to Narvik and, if finished, ultimately would have run to Kirkenes. The railway was constructed by the ''Wehrmacht'' in occupation of Norway by Nazi Germany, occupied Norway during the Second World War as part of ''Festung Norwegen''. At Fauske, the line connected with the Nordland Line, and construction stretched as far north as Drag, Norway, Drag, Tysfjord. After the war, the plans were abandoned by Norwegian authorities, although from the 1970s, they were revitalized as part of the proposed Northern Norway Line.
