Trondenes
Trondenes is an old parish and former municipality in Troms county in Norway. The municipality existed from 1838 until its dissolution in 1964. It was located along the western shore of the Vågsfjorden in what is now Harstad Municipality. Trondenes included the majority of the island of Grytøya and part of the eastern coast of the island of Hinnøya as well as some smaller islands. Located just north of the town of Harstad, the village of Trondenes was the administrative centre of the municipality. That village is also the site of the historic Trondenes Church, the northernmost medieval stone church in Norway. Hinnøya
Hinnøya is the fourth-largest island in Norway, and the largest outside the Svalbard archipelago. The lies just off the western coast of Northern Norway. The island sits on the border of Nordland and Troms og Finnmark counties. Vågsfjorden is a fjord in the southern part of Troms og Finnmark county in Norway. The fjord is located between Norway's two largest islands, Hinnøya to the south and Senja to the north. Elgsnes
Elgsnes is a village in Harstad Municipality in Troms og Finnmark county, Norway. It is located on the northeastern part of the large island of Hinnøya, along the Andfjorden, about northwest of the Harstad (town), town of Harstad and about north of the village of Kasfjord. Elgsnes is located at the tip of a narrow peninsula, looking across the Toppsundet strait towards the village of Grøtavær on the island of Grytøya. Elgsnes Chapel is located in this village. Sørvik
Sørvik or Sørvika is a village in Harstad Municipality in Troms og Finnmark county, Norway. It is located along the Vågsfjorden on the island of Hinnøya about south of the town of Harstad Its population (2001) is about 451. The village includes the ''Sørvik Barne- og Ungdomsskole'' school which houses grades 5 through 10, the ''Sørvik barnehage'' kindergarten, and the ''Sørvik eldrehjem'' retirement home. Sørvik also has its own soccer team called SMIL (''Sørvikmark Idrettslag''). There is also the Sandtorg Church, a grocery store, and a gas station. In the churchyard are three British war graves. Grytøya
or is an island in Harstad Municipality in Troms og Finnmark county, Norway. The island lies just north of the large island of Hinnøya and south of the island of Bjarkøya. It is surrounded by the Vågsfjorden in the east and the Andfjorden in the west. The highest peak on the island is the tall mountain Nona. The population of Grytøya (2017) is 433. The southeastern part of the island is the most agriculturally productive. The northern part of the island was formerly part of the old municipality of Bjarkøy, which merged with Harstad Municipality on 1 January 2013. Krøttøya
Krøttøya is an island in Harstad Municipality in Troms og Finnmark county, Norway. The island is the northernmost inhabited island in the Andfjorden. It is located in the Meløyvær archipelago, consisting of 365 small islands, with over 20 white-sand beaches. Several other islands are connected to Krøttøya by road, but the island group is only accessible by boat. Krøttøy is surrounded by the large islands of Senja to the east, Bjarkøya and Grytøya to the south, and Andøya to the west.
