Natalia Romaniuta
Natalia Sergeyevna Romaniuta (russian: Наталья Серге́евна Романюта; born 26 May 1982) is a Russian ice dancer. She is a two-time (2000, 2001) World Junior champion with Daniil Barantsev. Career Early in her career, Romaniuta competed with Evgeni Zagovalko. Romaniuta teamed up with Daniil Barantsev in 1996. They began competing on the ISU Junior Series in 1997, winning a silver medal and placing 4th at their two events. They qualified for their first ISU Junior Grand Prix Final, where they finished 5th. They placed 7th in their first appearance at the World Junior Championships. The following season, Romaniuta / Barantsev won gold and silver on JGP series and qualified for their second Final, where they took the bronze medal. Free Dance (figure Skating)
The free dance (FD) is a segment of an ice dance competition, the second contested. It follows the rhythm dance (RD). Original Dance
The original dance (OD) was one of the programs performed by figure skaters in ice dance competitions, in which the ice dancers skated "a dance of their own creation to dance music they have selected for the designated rhythm(s)".Rulebook, p. 90 It was normally the second of three programs in the competition, sandwiched between the compulsory dance (CD) and the free dance (FD). The rhythm(s) and type of music required for the OD changed every season, and were selected by the International Skating Union (ISU) before the start of the season. The ice dancers were free to choose their own music and choreography (within the specified constraints) and to create their own routines. They were judged on a set of required criteria, including skating skills and how well they interpreted the music and the rhythm. Arseni Markov (born 12 November 1981) is a former competitive Ice dancing, ice dancer who competed internationally for Canada and Russia. With Chantal Lefebvre, he is the 2004 and 2005 Canadian national bronze medalist. With earlier partner Svetlana Kulikova, he is the 2001 Figure skating at the Winter Universiade, Winter Universiade bronze medalist and 2002 Skate Canada International bronze medalist. Career Markov competed as a singles skater for Russia until he was 13 years old. He teamed up with Svetlana Kulikova in 1996.
