Mustafa Cerić
Mustafa Cerić (, born 5 February 1952) is a Bosnian imam who served as the Grand Mufti (''Reis-ul-Ulema'') of Bosnia and Herzegovina and is currently president of the World Bosniak Congress. He was also a candidate for a Bosniak member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina at the 2014 general election. Cerić ensured that Islam is a strong element of Bosniak nationalism and has argued that Bosnia and Herzegovina should become a Bosniak nation state as Croats and Serbs already have their own nation states, Croatia and Serbia. Life Cerić graduated from the Gazi Husrev-beg Madrasa in Sarajevo and received a scholarship to Al-Azhar University in Cairo, Egypt. He then returned to Yugoslavia, where he became an Imam. The Bosniak Academy of Sciences and Arts ( bs, Bošnjačka akademija nauka i umjetnosti, BANU) is an academic institution in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The institution is based in Sarajevo (BiH) and has divisions in both Sarajevo and Novi Pazar (Serbia) to better reflect Bosniak interests in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Sandžak. The institution was founded on 9 July 2011 in Novi Pazar under the initiative of Muamer Zukorlić, Muamer ef. Zukorlić, mufti of the Bosniaks of Serbia, Islamic Community in Serbia. Northbrook, Illinois
Northbrook is a suburb of Chicago, located at the northern edge of Cook County, Illinois, United States, on the border of Lake County, Illinois, Lake County. Imam (; ar, إمام '; plural: ') is an Islamic leadership position. For Sunni Muslims, Imam is most commonly used as the title of a worship leader of a mosque. In this context, imams may lead Islamic worship services, lead prayers, serve as community leaders, and provide religious guidance. Thus for Sunnis, anyone can study the basic Islamic sciences and become an Imam. For most Shia Muslims, the Imams are absolute infallible leaders of the Islamic community after the Prophet.
